第5章

1 以色列長子呂便的兒子［sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel］，（呂便原是長子［for he was the firstborn］；只［but］因他污穢了父親的床，他長子的名分就歸了以色列兒子約瑟的兩個兒子［sons of Joseph the son of Israel］。只是按家譜並［and］不算長子。

2 猶大勝過一切弟兄，總長［chief ruler］也是從他而出；長子的名分卻歸約瑟。）

3 據我說［I say］，以色列長子呂便的兒子是哈諾、法路、希斯崙、迦米。

4 約珥的兒子是示瑪雅；示瑪雅的兒子是歌革；歌革的兒子是示每；

5 示每的兒子是米迦；米迦的兒子是利亞雅；利亞雅的兒子是巴力；

6 巴力的兒子是備拉。這備拉作呂便支派的首領，被亞述王提革拉．毗尼色擄去。

7 他的弟兄照著家室［families］，按著宗族的［generations］家譜作族長的是耶利、撒迦利雅、比拉。

8 比拉是亞撒的兒子；亞撒是示瑪的兒子；示瑪是約珥的兒子；約珥所住的地方是從亞羅珥直到尼波和巴力．免，

9 他［he］又向東從［from］幼發拉底河到曠野入口［unto the entering in of the wilderness］居住［inhabited］；因為他們在基列地牲畜增多。

10 掃羅年間，他們與夏甲人爭戰，夏甲人倒在他們手下，他們就在基列東邊的全地，住在夏甲人的帳棚裏。

11 迦得的子孫在呂便對面，住在巴珊地，延到撒迦。

12 他們中間有作族長的約珥，有作副族長的沙番，還有雅乃和住在巴珊的沙法。

13 他們父家的弟兄［their brethren of the house of their fathers］是米迦勒、米書蘭、示巴、約賴、雅干、細亞、希伯，共七人。

14 這都是亞比孩的兒子。亞比孩是戶利的兒子；戶利是耶羅亞的兒子；耶羅亞是基列的兒子；基列是米迦勒的兒子；米迦勒是耶示篩的兒子；耶示篩是耶哈多的兒子；耶哈多是布斯的兒子。

15 還有古尼的孫子、押比疊的兒子亞希。這都是在他們父家作首領的［chief of the house of their fathers］。

16 他們住在基列與巴珊和巴珊的村莊［towns］，並沙崙的郊野，直到四圍的交界。

17 這些人在猶大王約坦並在以色列王耶羅波安年間，都載入家譜。

18 呂便人、迦得人，和瑪拿西半支派的人，能拿擋牌［buckler］和刀劍、拉弓射箭、出征善戰的勇士共有四萬四千七百六十名。

19 他們與夏甲人、伊突人、拿非施人、挪答人爭戰。

20 他們得了神的幫助，夏甲人和跟隨夏甲的人都交在他們手中；他們在陣上呼求神，神就應允他們；因為他們倚賴神［they cried to God in the battle, and he was intreated of them; because they put their trust in him］。

21 他們擄掠了夏甲人的牲畜，有駱駝五萬，羊二十五萬，驢二千；又有人十萬。

22 敵人被殺仆倒的甚多，因為這爭戰是出乎神。他們就住在敵人的地上，直到被擄的時候。

23 瑪拿西半支派的人住在那地。從巴珊延到巴力．黑們、示尼珥與黑門山。

24 他們的父家之首［heads of the house of their fathers］是以弗、以示、以列、亞斯列、耶利米、何達威雅、雅疊，都是大能的勇士，是有名的人，也是作他們父家之首［heads of the house of their fathers］的。

25 他們得罪了他們列祖的神，隨從那地之民的眾神行邪淫；這民就是神在他們面前所除滅的。

26 故此，以色列的神激動亞述王普勒和亞述王提革拉．毗尼色的心靈［spirit］，他們就把呂便人、迦得人、瑪拿西半支派的人擄到哈臘、哈博、哈拉與歌散河邊，直到今日還在那裏。

2 For Judah3063 prevailed1396 above his brothers,251 and of him came the chief5057 ruler;5057 but the birthright1062 was Joseph's:3130)

3 The sons,1121 I say, of Reuben7205 the firstborn1060 of Israel3478 were, Hanoch,2585 and Pallu,6396 Hezron,2696 and Carmi.3756

9 And eastward4217 he inhabited3427 to the entering935 in of the wilderness4057 from the river5104 Euphrates:6578 because3588 their cattle4735 were multiplied7235 in the land776 of Gilead.1568

10 And in the days3117 of Saul7586 they made6213 war4421 with the Hagarites,1905 who fell5307 by their hand:3027 and they dwelled3427 in their tents168 throughout5921 all3605 the east4217 land of Gilead.1568

11 And the children1121 of Gad1410 dwelled3427 over5048 against5048 them, in the land776 of Bashan1316 to Salcah:5548

12 Joel3100 the chief,7218 and Shapham8223 the next,4932 and Jaanai,3285 and Shaphat8202 in Bashan.1316

13 And their brothers251 of the house1004 of their fathers1 were, Michael,4317 and Meshullam,4918 and Sheba,7652 and Jorai,3140 and Jachan,3275 and Zia,2127 and Heber,5677 seven.7651

14 These428 are the children1121 of Abihail32 the son1121 of Huri,2359 the son1121 of Jaroah,3386 the son1121 of Gilead,1568 the son1121 of Michael,4317 the son1121 of Jeshishai,3454 the son1121 of Jahdo,3163 the son1121 of Buz;938

15 Ahi277 the son1121 of Abdiel,5661 the son1121 of Guni,1476 chief7218 of the house1004 of their fathers.1

16 And they dwelled3427 in Gilead1568 in Bashan,1316 and in her towns,1323 and in all3605 the suburbs4054 of Sharon,8289 on their borders.8444

17 All3605 these were reckoned3187 by genealogies3187 in the days3117 of Jotham3147 king4428 of Judah,3063 and in the days3117 of Jeroboam3379 king4428 of Israel.3478

18 The sons1121 of Reuben,7205 and the Gadites,1425 and half2677 the tribe7626 of Manasseh,4519 of valiant2428 men,582 men able5375 to bear5375 buckler4043 and sword,2719 and to shoot1869 with bow,7198 and skillful3925 in war,4421 were four702 and forty705 thousand505 seven7651 hundred3967 and three score,8346 that went3318 out to the war.6635

19 And they made6213 war4421 with the Hagarites,1905 with Jetur,3195 and Nephish,5305 and Nodab.5114

20 And they were helped5826 against5921 them, and the Hagarites1905 were delivered5414 into their hand,3027 and all3605 that were with them: for they cried2199 to God430 in the battle,4421 and he was entreated6279 of them; because3588 they put their trust982 in him.

21 And they took away7617 their cattle;929 of their camels1581 fifty2572 thousand,505 and of sheep6629 two hundred3967 and fifty2572 thousand,505 and of asses2543 two thousand,505 and of men5315 120 an hundred3967 thousand.505

22 For there fell5307 down5422 many7227 slain,2491 because3588 the war4421 was of God.430 And they dwelled3427 in their steads8478 until5704 the captivity.1473

23 And the children1121 of the half2677 tribe7626 of Manasseh4519 dwelled3427 in the land:776 they increased7235 from Bashan1316 to Baalhermon1179 and Senir,8149 and to mount2022 Hermon.2768

24 And these428 were the heads7218 of the house1004 of their fathers,1 even Epher,6081 and Ishi,3469 and Eliel,447 and Azriel,5837 and Jeremiah,3414 and Hodaviah,1938 and Jahdiel,3164 mighty1368 men582 of valor,2428 famous8034 men,582 and heads7218 of the house1004 of their fathers.1

25 And they transgressed4603 against the God430 of their fathers,1 and went a whoring2181 after310 the gods430 of the people5971 of the land,776 whom834 God430 destroyed8045 before6440 them.

26 And the God430 of Israel3478 stirred5782 up the spirit7307 of Pul6322 king4428 of Assyria,804 and the spirit7307 of Tilgathpilneser8407 king4428 of Assyria,804 and he carried1540 them away,1540 even the Reubenites,7206 and the Gadites,1425 and the half2677 tribe7626 of Manasseh,4519 and brought935 them to Halah,2477 and Habor,2249 and Hara,2024 and to the river5104 Gozan,1470 to this2088 day.3117

22 敵人被殺仆倒的甚多，因為這爭戰是出乎神。他們就住在敵人的地上，直到被擄的時候。
