Глава 1

1 И было слово1697 Господне3068 к Ионе,3124 сыну1121 Амафиину:573

2 встань,6965 иди3212 в Ниневию,5210 город5892 великий,1419 и проповедуй7121 в нем, ибо злодеяния7451 его дошли5927 до3942 Меня.

3 И встал6965 Иона,3124 чтобы бежать1272 в Фарсис8659 от лица6440 Господня,3068 и пришел3381 в Иоппию,3305 и нашел4672 корабль,591 отправлявшийся935 в Фарсис,8659 отдал5414 плату7939 за провоз и вошел3381 в него, чтобы плыть935 с ними в Фарсис8659 от лица6440 Господа.3068

4 Но Господь3068 воздвиг2904 на море3220 крепкий1419 ветер,7307 и сделалась на море3220 великая1419 буря,5591 и корабль591 готов2803 был2803 разбиться.7665

5 И устрашились3372 корабельщики,4419 и взывали2199 каждый376 к своему богу,430 и стали2904 бросать2904 в море3220 кладь3627 с корабля,591 чтобы облегчить7043 его от нее; Иона3124 же спустился3381 во внутренность3411 корабля,5600 лег7901 и крепко7290 заснул.7290

6 И пришел7126 к нему начальник7227 корабля2259 и сказал559 ему: что ты спишь?7290 встань,6965 воззови7121 к Богу430 твоему; может быть, Бог430 вспомнит6245 о нас и мы не погибнем.6

7 И сказали559 друг376 другу:7453 пойдем,3212 бросим5307 жребии,1486 чтобы узнать,3045 за7945 кого постигает нас эта беда.7451 И бросили5307 жребии,1486 и пал5307 жребий1486 на Иону.3124

8 Тогда сказали559 ему: скажи5046 нам, за кого постигла нас эта беда?7451 какое твое занятие,4399 и откуда370 идешь935 ты? где твоя страна,776 и из какого ты народа?5971

9 И он сказал559 им: я Еврей,5680 чту3373 Господа3068 Бога430 небес,8064 сотворившего6213 море3220 и сушу.3004

10 И устрашились3372 люди582 страхом3374 великим1419 и сказали559 ему: для чего ты это сделал?6213 Ибо узнали3045 эти люди,582 что он бежит1272 от лица6440 Господня,3068 как он сам объявил5046 им.

11 И сказали559 ему: что сделать6213 нам с тобою, чтобы море3220 утихло8367 для нас? Ибо море3220 не1980 переставало1980 волноваться.5590

12 Тогда он сказал559 им: возьмите5375 меня и бросьте2904 меня в море,3220 и море3220 утихнет8367 для вас, ибо я знаю,3045 что ради7945 меня постигла вас эта великая1419 буря.5591

13 Но эти люди582 начали усиленно грести,2864 чтобы пристать7725 к земле,3004 но не могли,3201 потому что море3220 все продолжало1980 бушевать5590 против них.

14 Тогда воззвали7121 они к Господу3068 и сказали:559 молим577 Тебя, Господи,3068 да не погибнем6 за душу5315 человека376 сего, и да не вменишь5414 нам кровь1818 невинную;5355 ибо Ты, Господи,3068 соделал,6213 что угодно2654 Тебе!

15 И взяли5375 Иону3124 и бросили2904 его в море,3220 и утихло5975 море3220 от ярости2197 своей.

16 И устрашились3372 эти люди582 Господа3068 великим1419 страхом,3374 и принесли2076 Господу3068 жертву,2077 и дали5087 обеты.5088

Jonah

Chapter 1

1 Now the word1697 of the LORD3068 came1961 to Jonah3124 the son1121 of Amittai,573 saying,559

2 Arise,6965 go1980 to Nineveh,5210 that great1419 city,5892 and cry7121 against5921 it; for their wickedness7451 is come5927 up before6440 me.

3 But Jonah3124 rose6965 up to flee1272 to Tarshish8659 from the presence6440 of the LORD,3068 and went3381 down3381 to Joppa;3305 and he found4672 a ship591 going935 to Tarshish:8659 so he paid5414 the fare7939 thereof, and went3381 down3381 into it, to go935 with them to Tarshish8659 from the presence6440 of the LORD.3068

4 But the LORD3068 sent2904 out a great1419 wind7307 into413 the sea,3220 and there was a mighty1419 tempest5591 in the sea,3220 so that the ship591 was like2803 to be broken.7665

5 Then the mariners4419 were afraid,3372 and cried2199 every man to his god,430 and cast2904 forth2904 the wares3627 that were in the ship591 into413 the sea,3220 to lighten7043 it of them. But Jonah3124 was gone3381 down3381 into413 the sides3411 of the ship;5600 and he lay,7901 and was fast asleep.7290

6 So the shipmaster7227 2259 came7126 to him, and said559 to him, What4100 mean you, O sleeper?7290 arise,6965 call7121 on your God,430 if194 so be that God430 will think6245 on us, that we perish6 not.

7 And they said559 every376 one376 to his fellow,7453 Come,3212 and let us cast5307 lots,1486 that we may know3045 for whose4310 cause7945 this2063 evil7451 is on us. So they cast5307 lots,1486 and the lot1486 fell5307 on Jonah.3124

8 Then said559 they to him, Tell5046 us, we pray4994 you, for whose834 4310 cause834 this2063 evil7451 is on us; What4100 is your occupation?4399 and from where370 come935 you? what4100 is your country?776 and of what335 2088 people5971 are you?

9 And he said559 to them, I am an Hebrew;5680 and I fear3373 the LORD,3068 the God430 of heaven,8064 which834 has made6213 the sea3220 and the dry3004 land.127

10 Then were the men582 exceedingly1419 afraid,3372 and said559 to him. Why4100 have you done6213 this?2063 For the men582 knew3045 that he fled1272 from the presence6440 of the LORD,3068 because3588 he had told5046 them.

11 Then said559 they to him, What4100 shall we do6213 to you, that the sea3220 may be calm8367 to us? for the sea3220 worked,1980 and was tempestuous.5492

12 And he said559 to them, Take5375 me up, and cast2904 me forth2904 into413 the sea;3220 so shall the sea3220 be calm8367 to you: for I know3045 that for my sake7945 this great1419 tempest5591 is on you.

13 Nevertheless the men582 rowed2864 hard to bring7725 it to the land;3004 but they could3201 not: for the sea3220 worked,1980 and was tempestuous5492 against5921 them.

14 Why they cried to the LORD, and said, We beseech you, O LORD, we beseech you, let us not perish for this man's life, and lay not on us innocent blood: for you, O LORD, have done as it pleased you.

15 So they took5375 up Jonah,3124 and cast2904 him forth2904 into413 the sea:3220 and the sea3220 ceased5975 from her raging.2197

16 Then the men582 feared3372 the LORD3068 exceedingly,1419 and offered2076 a sacrifice2077 to the LORD,3068 and made vows.5088

2 Arise,6965 go1980 to Nineveh,5210 that great1419 city,5892 and cry7121 against5921 it; for their wickedness7451 is come5927 up before6440 me.

4 Но Господь3068 воздвиг2904 на море3220 крепкий1419 ветер,7307 и сделалась на море3220 великая1419 буря,5591 и корабль591 готов2803 был2803 разбиться.7665

4 But the LORD3068 sent2904 out a great1419 wind7307 into413 the sea,3220 and there was a mighty1419 tempest5591 in the sea,3220 so that the ship591 was like2803 to be broken.7665

6 So the shipmaster7227 2259 came7126 to him, and said559 to him, What4100 mean you, O sleeper?7290 arise,6965 call7121 on your God,430 if194 so be that God430 will think6245 on us, that we perish6 not.

7 And they said559 every376 one376 to his fellow,7453 Come,3212 and let us cast5307 lots,1486 that we may know3045 for whose4310 cause7945 this2063 evil7451 is on us. So they cast5307 lots,1486 and the lot1486 fell5307 on Jonah.3124

8 Тогда сказали559 ему: скажи5046 нам, за кого постигла нас эта беда?7451 какое твое занятие,4399 и откуда370 идешь935 ты? где твоя страна,776 и из какого ты народа?5971

8 Then said559 they to him, Tell5046 us, we pray4994 you, for whose834 4310 cause834 this2063 evil7451 is on us; What4100 is your occupation?4399 and from where370 come935 you? what4100 is your country?776 and of what335 2088 people5971 are you?

9 И он сказал559 им: я Еврей,5680 чту3373 Господа3068 Бога430 небес,8064 сотворившего6213 море3220 и сушу.3004

9 And he said559 to them, I am an Hebrew;5680 and I fear3373 the LORD,3068 the God430 of heaven,8064 which834 has made6213 the sea3220 and the dry3004 land.127

10 И устрашились3372 люди582 страхом3374 великим1419 и сказали559 ему: для чего ты это сделал?6213 Ибо узнали3045 эти люди,582 что он бежит1272 от лица6440 Господня,3068 как он сам объявил5046 им.

10 Then were the men582 exceedingly1419 afraid,3372 and said559 to him. Why4100 have you done6213 this?2063 For the men582 knew3045 that he fled1272 from the presence6440 of the LORD,3068 because3588 he had told5046 them.

11 И сказали559 ему: что сделать6213 нам с тобою, чтобы море3220 утихло8367 для нас? Ибо море3220 не1980 переставало1980 волноваться.5590

11 Then said559 they to him, What4100 shall we do6213 to you, that the sea3220 may be calm8367 to us? for the sea3220 worked,1980 and was tempestuous.5492

12 Тогда он сказал559 им: возьмите5375 меня и бросьте2904 меня в море,3220 и море3220 утихнет8367 для вас, ибо я знаю,3045 что ради7945 меня постигла вас эта великая1419 буря.5591

12 And he said559 to them, Take5375 me up, and cast2904 me forth2904 into413 the sea;3220 so shall the sea3220 be calm8367 to you: for I know3045 that for my sake7945 this great1419 tempest5591 is on you.

13 Но эти люди582 начали усиленно грести,2864 чтобы пристать7725 к земле,3004 но не могли,3201 потому что море3220 все продолжало1980 бушевать5590 против них.

13 Nevertheless the men582 rowed2864 hard to bring7725 it to the land;3004 but they could3201 not: for the sea3220 worked,1980 and was tempestuous5492 against5921 them.

14 Тогда воззвали7121 они к Господу3068 и сказали:559 молим577 Тебя, Господи,3068 да не погибнем6 за душу5315 человека376 сего, и да не вменишь5414 нам кровь1818 невинную;5355 ибо Ты, Господи,3068 соделал,6213 что угодно2654 Тебе!

14 Why they cried to the LORD, and said, We beseech you, O LORD, we beseech you, let us not perish for this man's life, and lay not on us innocent blood: for you, O LORD, have done as it pleased you.

15 И взяли5375 Иону3124 и бросили2904 его в море,3220 и утихло5975 море3220 от ярости2197 своей.

15 So they took5375 up Jonah,3124 and cast2904 him forth2904 into413 the sea:3220 and the sea3220 ceased5975 from her raging.2197

16 И устрашились3372 эти люди582 Господа3068 великим1419 страхом,3374 и принесли2076 Господу3068 жертву,2077 и дали5087 обеты.5088
