Глава 17

1 Тогда один из семи Ангелов с семью чашами подошёл ко мне и сказал: «Пойдем, я покажу тебе, какое наказание послано великой блуднице, которая сидит над многими водами.

2 Земные цари предавались с ней блуду, и те, кто живут на земле, напивались допьяна вином её блуда».

3 И оказался я во власти Духа, который перенёс меня в пустыню. Там я увидел женщину, сидящую на красном звере. Этот зверь был весь покрыт именами, оскорбляющими Бога, и было у него семь голов с десятью рогами.

4 Женщина была одета в пурпурные и красные одежды и украшена золотом, драгоценными камнями и жемчугом. В руке она держала золотую чашу, полную мерзости и грязи её блуда.

5 На лбу у неё было начертано имя с тайным значением: «великий город Вавилон, мать блудниц и всякой мерзости на земле».

6 Затем я увидел, что она пьяна от крови святых людей Божьих и тех, кто умер, свидетельствуя об Иисусе. И, увидев её, я поразился.

7 Ангел спросил у меня: «Чему ты удивляешься? Я объясню тебе, в чём тайное значение этой женщины и зверя с семью головами и десятью рогами, на котором она сидит.

8 Зверь, которого ты видел, был когда-то живым, сейчас же он мёртв. Но он ещё восстанет из бездны и отправится на погибель. И те из живущих на земле, чьи имена не вписаны в книгу жизни от начала мира, удивятся, увидев зверя, так как он был жив когда-то, но сейчас мёртв, и всё же он явится снова.

9 Чтобы всё это понять, нужна мудрость. Семь голов — это семь холмов, на которых сидит женщина, они же и семь царей.

10 Первые пятеро уже умерли, один ещё жив, а последний ещё не явился. Когда же он явится, то недолго ему суждено здесь оставаться.

11 Зверь, который когда-то был жив, а сейчас неживой, — это восьмой царь, один из семи, и идёт он к своей гибели.

12 Десять рогов, что ты видишь, — это десять царей, которые ещё не начали править, но они получат власть править — каждый по одному часу вместе со зверем.

13 У всех десяти царей одни намерения, и отдадут они свою власть зверю.

14 Они будут воевать с Агнцем, но Он победит их, потому что Он — Господин господствующих и Царь царей вместе со Своими избранными, призванными и верными».

15 Затем Ангел сказал мне: «Воды, которые ты видишь там, где сидит блудница, — это разные народы, множество племён и языков.

16 Десять рогов, которые ты видел, и сам зверь будут ненавидеть блудницу и отнимут у неё всё, чем она владеет, оставив её нагой. Они будут пожирать её тело и жечь его огнём.

17 Потому что Бог вложил в десять рогов желание исполнить Его волю: отдать зверю власть правления, пока не исполнится слово Божье.

18 Женщина, которую ты видел, — это великий город, господствующий над земными царями».

2 With3326 whom3739 the3588 kings935 of the3588 earth1093 have committed fornication,4203 and2532 the3588 inhabitants2730 of the3588 earth1093 have been made drunk3184 with1537 the3588 wine3631 of her848 fornication.4202

3 So2532 he carried me away667 3165 in1722 the spirit4151 into1519 the wilderness:2048 and2532 I saw1492 a woman1135 sit2521 upon1909 a scarlet colored2847 beast,2342 full1073 of names3686 of blasphemy,988 having2192 seven2033 heads2776 and2532 ten1176 horns.2768

4 And2532 the3588 woman1135 was2258 arrayed4016 in purple4209 and2532 scarlet color,2847 and2532 decked5558 with gold5557 and2532 precious5093 stones3037 and2532 pearls,3135 having2192 a golden5552 cup4221 in1722 her848 hand5495 full1073 of abominations946 and2532 filthiness168 of her848 fornication: 4202

5 And2532 upon1909 her848 forehead3359 was a name3686 written,1125 MYSTERY,3466 BABYLON897 THE3588 GREAT,3173 THE3588 MOTHER3384 OF HARLOTS4204 AND2532 ABOMINATIONS946 OF THE3588 EARTH.1093

6 And2532 I saw1492 the3588 woman1135 drunken3184 with1537 the3588 blood129 of the3588 saints,40 and2532 with1537 the3588 blood129 of the3588 martyrs3144 of Jesus:2424 and2532 when I saw1492 her,846 I wondered2296 with great3173 admiration.2295

7 And2532 the3588 angel32 said2036 unto me,3427 Wherefore1302 didst thou marvel?2296 I1473 will tell2046 thee4671 the3588 mystery3466 of the3588 woman,1135 and2532 of the3588 beast2342 that carrieth941 her,846 which hath2192 the3588 seven2033 heads2776 and2532 ten1176 horns.2768

8 The3588 beast2342 that3739 thou sawest1492 was,2258 and2532 is2076 not;3756 and2532 shall3195 ascend305 out of1537 the3588 bottomless pit,12 and2532 go5217 into1519 perdition:684 and2532 they that dwell2730 on1909 the3588 earth1093 shall wonder,2296 whose3739 names3686 were not3756 written1125 in1909 the3588 book975 of life2222 from575 the foundation2602 of the world,2889 when they behold991 the3588 beast2342 that3748 was,2258 and2532 is2076 not,3756 and yet2539 is.2076

9 And here5602 is the3588 mind3563 which hath2192 wisdom.4678 The3588 seven2033 heads2776 are1526 seven2033 mountains,3735 3699 on1909 which846 the3588 woman1135 sitteth.2521

10 And2532 there are1526 seven2033 kings:935 five4002 are fallen,4098 and2532 one1520 is,2076 and the3588 other243 is not yet3768 come;2064 and2532 when3752 he cometh,2064 he846 must1163 continue3306 a short space.3641

11 And2532 the3588 beast2342 that3739 was,2258 and2532 is2076 not,3756 even2532 he846 is2076 the eighth,3590 and2532 is2076 of1537 the3588 seven,2033 and2532 goeth5217 into1519 perdition.684

12 And2532 the3588 ten1176 horns2768 which3739 thou sawest1492 are1526 ten1176 kings,935 which3748 have received2983 no kingdom as yet;3768 932 but235 receive2983 power1849 as5613 kings935 one3391 hour5610 with3326 the3588 beast.2342

13 These3778 have2192 one3391 mind,1106 and2532 shall give1239 their1438 power1411 and2532 strength1849 unto the3588 beast.2342

14 These3778 shall make war4170 with3326 the3588 Lamb,721 and2532 the3588 Lamb721 shall overcome3528 them:846 for3754 he is2076 Lord2962 of lords,2962 and2532 King935 of kings:935 and2532 they3588 that are with3326 him846 are called,2822 and2532 chosen,1588 and2532 faithful.4103

15 And2532 he saith3004 unto me,3427 The3588 waters5204 which3739 thou sawest,1492 where3757 the3588 whore4204 sitteth,2521 are1526 peoples,2992 and2532 multitudes,3793 and2532 nations,1484 and2532 tongues.1100

16 And2532 the3588 ten1176 horns2768 which3739 thou sawest1492 upon1909 the3588 beast,2342 these3778 shall hate3404 the3588 whore,4204 and2532 shall make4160 her846 desolate2049 and2532 naked,1131 and2532 shall eat5315 her848 flesh,4561 and2532 burn2618 her846 with1722 fire.4442

17 For1063 God2316 hath put1325 in1519 their848 hearts2588 to fulfill4160 his848 will,1106 and2532 to agree,4160 3391 1106 and2532 give1325 their848 kingdom932 unto the3588 beast,2342 until891 the3588 words4487 of God2316 shall be fulfilled.5055

18 And2532 the3588 woman1135 which3739 thou sawest1492 is2076 that great3173 city,4172 which reigneth2192 932 over1909 the3588 kings935 of the3588 earth.1093

6 Затем я увидел, что она пьяна от крови святых людей Божьих и тех, кто умер, свидетельствуя об Иисусе. И, увидев её, я поразился.

7 Ангел спросил у меня: «Чему ты удивляешься? Я объясню тебе, в чём тайное значение этой женщины и зверя с семью головами и десятью рогами, на котором она сидит.

8 Зверь, которого ты видел, был когда-то живым, сейчас же он мёртв. Но он ещё восстанет из бездны и отправится на погибель. И те из живущих на земле, чьи имена не вписаны в книгу жизни от начала мира, удивятся, увидев зверя, так как он был жив когда-то, но сейчас мёртв, и всё же он явится снова.

8 The3588 beast2342 that3739 thou sawest1492 was,2258 and2532 is2076 not;3756 and2532 shall3195 ascend305 out of1537 the3588 bottomless pit,12 and2532 go5217 into1519 perdition:684 and2532 they that dwell2730 on1909 the3588 earth1093 shall wonder,2296 whose3739 names3686 were not3756 written1125 in1909 the3588 book975 of life2222 from575 the foundation2602 of the world,2889 when they behold991 the3588 beast2342 that3748 was,2258 and2532 is2076 not,3756 and yet2539 is.2076

9 Чтобы всё это понять, нужна мудрость. Семь голов — это семь холмов, на которых сидит женщина, они же и семь царей.

9 And here5602 is the3588 mind3563 which hath2192 wisdom.4678 The3588 seven2033 heads2776 are1526 seven2033 mountains,3735 3699 on1909 which846 the3588 woman1135 sitteth.2521

10 Первые пятеро уже умерли, один ещё жив, а последний ещё не явился. Когда же он явится, то недолго ему суждено здесь оставаться.

13 У всех десяти царей одни намерения, и отдадут они свою власть зверю.

13 These3778 have2192 one3391 mind,1106 and2532 shall give1239 their1438 power1411 and2532 strength1849 unto the3588 beast.2342

14 Они будут воевать с Агнцем, но Он победит их, потому что Он — Господин господствующих и Царь царей вместе со Своими избранными, призванными и верными».

14 These3778 shall make war4170 with3326 the3588 Lamb,721 and2532 the3588 Lamb721 shall overcome3528 them:846 for3754 he is2076 Lord2962 of lords,2962 and2532 King935 of kings:935 and2532 they3588 that are with3326 him846 are called,2822 and2532 chosen,1588 and2532 faithful.4103
