Глава 14

1 Амрафел был царём сеннаарским, Ариох был царём елласарским, Кедорлаомер был царём еламским, а Фидал был царём гоимским.

2 Все эти цари пошли войной против Беры, царя содомского, Берши, царя гоморрского, Шимавы, царя Адмы, Шимевера, царя цевоимского, и царя Белы, называемого также Сигором,

3 армии которых соединились в долине Сиддим, там, где теперь Мёртвое (Солёное) море.

4 Эти цари 12 лет служили Кедорлаомеру, а на 13 год восстали против него.

5 Поэтому на 14 год царь Кедорлаомер и бывшие с ним цари пошли против них войной и победили рефаимов в Аштероф-Карнаиме, зузимов в Хаме, емимов в Шаве-Кирафаиме

6 и хорреев в горах Сеира до самого Эл-Фарана, что граничит с пустыней.

7 Затем царь Кедорлаомер повернул на север и, дойдя до Ен-Мишпата, называемого также Кадесом, победил народ амаликитян, а также и народ аморреев, живших в Хацацон-Фамаре.

8 В это время цари Содома, Гоморры, Адмы, Цевоима и Белы (Сигора) объединились и вышли сражаться со своими врагами в долине Сиддим.

9 Они сражались с Кедорлаомером, царём еламским, Фидалом, царём гоимским, Амрафелом, царём сеннаарским, Ариохом, царём елласарским — четыре царя против пяти.

10 В долине Сиддим было множество ям, заполненных дёгтем. После поражения, когда цари Содома и Гоморры со своим войском бежали с поля боя, многие из солдат попадали в эти ямы, а уцелевшие же нашли спасение в горах.

11 Одержав победу, царь Кедорлаомер и его воины захватили всё, чем владели жители Содома и Гоморры, а затем отправились в свою землю.

12 Лот, сын брата Аврама, жил в Содоме и поэтому тоже попал в плен, а всё то, чем он владел, было захвачено Кедорлаомером.

13 Один из уцелевших воинов пошёл к еврею Авраму и рассказал о случившемся. Аврам в то время жил около дубравы аморрея Мамре. Мамре, Эшкол и Анера договорились помогать друг другу, они также заключили союз и с Аврамом.

14 Узнав, что Лота захватили в плен, Аврам собрал всю свою семью, в которой было 318 воинов, и во главе их преследовал неприятеля до самого города Дан.

15 В ту же ночь они напали на врагов, застав их врасплох и, одержав победу, преследовали до самой Ховы, к северу от Дамаска.

16 Аврам возвратил всё украденное врагами имущество: всех женщин, слуг, а также и самого Лота со всеми его владениями.

17 Победив Кедорлаомера и царей, бывших с ним, Аврам возвратился домой, а царь Содома вышел ему навстречу в долине Шаву, называемой теперь Царской долиной.

18 Мелхиседек, салимский царь, священник Всевышнего Бога, также вышел навстречу Авраму, неся с собой хлеб и вино.

19 Благословив Аврама, он сказал: «Аврам, да благословит тебя Всевышний Бог, Создавший небо и землю.

20 Восславим Всевышнего Бога, Который помог тебе победить твоих врагов». Аврам отдал Мелхиседеку десятую часть захваченного в битве.

21 Тогда царь Содома сказал Авраму: «Верни мне моих людей, которых захватил враг, а всё остальное можешь оставить себе».

22 Но Аврам ответил царю Содома: «Я обещаю Господу, Всевышнему Богу, Тому, Кто сотворил небо и землю,

23 что не возьму себе ничего из принадлежащего тебе: ни ремешка, ни нитки. Я обещаю, что не оставлю себе ничего, так как не хочу, чтобы ты сказал: „Я обогатил Аврама”.

24 Единственное, что я приму, это еду, которую съели мои отроки, но ты должен отдать остальным их долю. Возьми захваченное нами в бою и отдай часть этого Анере, Эшколу и Мамре, потому что эти люди помогли мне в сражении».

1 And it came1961 to pass in the days3117 of Amraphel569 king4428 of Shinar,8152 Arioch746 king4428 of Ellasar,495 Chedorlaomer3540 king4428 of Elam,5867 and Tidal8413 king4428 of nations;1471

2 That these made6213 war4421 with Bera1298 king4428 of Sodom,5467 and with Birsha1306 king4428 of Gomorrah,6017 Shinab8134 king4428 of Admah,126 and Shemeber8038 king4428 of Zeboiim,6636 and the king4428 of Bela,1106 which1931 is Zoar.6820

3 All3605 these428 were joined2266 together in the vale6010 of Siddim,7708 which1931 is the salt4417 sea.3220

4 Twelve8147 6240 years8141 they served5647 Chedorlaomer,3540 and in the thirteenth7969 6240 year8141 they rebelled.4775

5 And in the fourteenth year came Chedorlaomer, and the kings that were with him, and smote the Rephaims in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzims in Ham, and the Emims in Shaveh Kiriathaim,

6 And the Horites2752 in their mount2042 Seir,8165 to Elparan,364 which834 is by the wilderness.4057

7 And they returned,7725 and came935 to Enmishpat,5880 which is Kadesh,6946 and smote5221 all3605 the country7704 of the Amalekites,6003 and also1571 the Amorites,567 that dwelled3427 in Hazezontamar.2688

8 And there went3318 out the king4428 of Sodom,5467 and the king4428 of Gomorrah,6017 and the king4428 of Admah,126 and the king4428 of Zeboiim,6636 and the king4428 of Bela1106 (the same1931 is Zoar;6820) and they joined6186 battle4421 with them in the vale6010 of Siddim;7708

9 With Chedorlaomer3540 the king4428 of Elam,5867 and with Tidal8413 king4428 of nations,1471 and Amraphel569 king4428 of Shinar,8152 and Arioch746 king4428 of Ellasar;495 four702 kings4428 with five.2568

10 And the vale6010 of Siddim7708 was full of slime pits;2564 and the kings4428 of Sodom5467 and Gomorrah6017 fled,5127 and fell5307 there;8033 and they that remained7604 fled5127 to the mountain.2022

11 And they took3947 all3605 the goods7399 of Sodom5467 and Gomorrah,6017 and all3605 their victuals,400 and went3212 their way.3212

12 And they took3947 Lot,3876 Abram's87 brother's251 son,1121 who1931 dwelled3427 in Sodom,5467 and his goods,7399 and departed.3212

13 And there came935 one that had escaped,6412 and told5046 Abram87 the Hebrew;5680 for he dwelled7931 in the plain436 of Mamre4471 the Amorite,567 brother251 of Eshcol,812 and brother251 of Aner:6063 and these1992 were confederate1167 1285 with Abram.87

23 That I will not take3947 from a thread2339 even5704 to a shoelatchet,8288 5275 and that I will not take3947 any3605 thing that is yours, lest3808 you should say,559 I have made Abram87 rich:6238

24 Save1107 only7535 that which834 the young5288 men have eaten,398 and the portion2506 of the men582 which834 went1980 with me, Aner,6063 Eshcol,812 and Mamre;4471 let them take3947 their portion.2506

23 что не возьму себе ничего из принадлежащего тебе: ни ремешка, ни нитки. Я обещаю, что не оставлю себе ничего, так как не хочу, чтобы ты сказал: „Я обогатил Аврама”.
