Глава 5

1 Если хочешь, зови, только кто ответит? Кого из ангелов позовёшь на помощь?

2 Гнев погубит глупого, а зависть убьёт простака.

3 Я видел сам, как глупец укоренился, но нежданно его дом был проклят.

4 Его дети далеки от безопасности, их бьют в суде, но некому заступиться за них.

5 Голодный ест его урожай и даже то, что растёт среди тёрна, а жаждущий уносит его добро.

6 Беда не появляется из земли, и несчастье не вырастает на поле,

7 но человек рождён для несчастий, как искры – чтобы улетать ввысь.

8 Но я бы воззвал ко Всевышнему, Ему бы доверил своё дело.

9 Он творит великое и непостижимое, бессчётные чудеса.

10 Он посылает на землю дождь и орошает поля.

11 Он возвышает униженных, и возносятся плачущие к спасению.

12 Он разрушает замыслы хитрецов, чтобы не было успеха их рукам.

13 Он ловит мудрых на их же хитрость, и замыслы коварных рушатся.

14 В дневное время мрак покрывает их, и в полдень они идут, как ночью, наощупь.

15 Он спасает бедного от их клеветы, спасает его от руки могучих.

16 Итак, есть надежда у нищего, и неправда сомкнёт уста свои.

17 Благословен тот, кого Всевышний вразумляет; поэтому не презирай наставления Всемогущего.

18 Он ранит, но Сам перевязывает; Он поражает, но Его же рука исцеляет.

19 От шести несчастий тебя избавит, и седьмая беда тебя не коснётся.

20 В голод избавит тебя от смерти, в сражении – от удара меча.

21 Ты будешь укрыт от злословия, и не будешь бояться прихода беды.

22 Над бедой и голодом посмеёшься, и не будешь бояться диких зверей.

23 Ты будешь в союзе с камнями на поле, и полевые звери будут в мире с тобой.

24 Ты узнаешь, что шатёр твой в безопасности, осмотришь владения свои – ничего не пропало.

25 Ты узнаешь, что твоё потомство многочисленно, и потомков твоих, что травы на земле.

26 Ты сойдёшь в могилу в полноте лет, словно сноп, уложенный в своё время.

27 Вот так, мы исследовали это – всё верно. Выслушав это, сам всему научись.

1 Call7121 now,4994 if there be any that will answer6030 you; and to which4310 of the saints6918 will you turn?6437

2 For wrath3708 kills2026 the foolish191 man, and envy7068 slays4191 the silly6601 one.

3 I have seen7200 the foolish191 taking root:8327 but suddenly6597 I cursed5344 his habitation.5116

4 His children1121 are far7350 from safety,3468 and they are crushed1792 in the gate,8179 neither369 is there any to deliver5337 them.

5 Whose834 harvest7105 the hungry7456 eats398 up, and takes3947 it even out of the thorns,6791 and the robber6782 swallows7602 up their substance.2428

6 Although3588 affliction205 comes3318 not forth3318 of the dust,6083 neither3808 does trouble5999 spring6779 out of the ground;127

7 Yet3588 man120 is born3205 to trouble,5999 as the sparks1121 7565 fly5774 upward.1361

8 I would seek1875 to God,410 and to God430 would I commit7760 my cause:1700

9 Which does6213 great1419 things and unsearchable;369 2714 marvelous6381 things without5704 369 number:4557

10 Who gives5414 rain4306 on the earth,776 and sends7971 waters4325 on the fields:2351

11 To set7760 up on high4791 those that be low;8217 that those which mourn6937 may be exalted7682 to safety.3468

12 He disappoints6565 the devices4284 of the crafty,6175 so that their hands3027 cannot3808 3201 perform their enterprise.8454

13 He takes3920 the wise2450 in their own craftiness:6193 and the counsel6098 of the fraudulent6617 is carried4116 headlong.

14 They meet6298 with darkness2822 in the day time,3119 and grope4959 in the noonday6672 as in the night.3915

15 But he saves3467 the poor34 from the sword,2719 from their mouth,6310 and from the hand3027 of the mighty.2389

16 So the poor1800 has1961 hope,8615 and iniquity5766 stops7092 her mouth.6310

17 Behold,2009 happy835 is the man582 whom God433 corrects:3198 therefore despise3988 not you the chastening4148 of the Almighty:7706

18 For he makes sore,3510 and binds2280 up: he wounds,4272 and his hands3027 make whole.7495

19 He shall deliver5337 you in six8337 troubles:6869 yes, in seven7651 there shall no3808 evil7451 touch5060 you.

20 In famine7458 he shall redeem6299 you from death:4194 and in war4421 from the power3027 of the sword.2719

21 You shall be hid2244 from the whip7752 of the tongue:3956 neither3808 shall you be afraid3372 of destruction7701 when3588 it comes.935

22 At destruction7701 and famine3720 you shall laugh:7832 neither408 shall you be afraid3372 of the beasts2416 of the earth.776

23 For you shall be in league1285 with the stones68 of the field:7704 and the beasts2416 of the field7704 shall be at peace7999 with you.

24 And you shall know3045 that your tabernacle168 shall be in peace;7965 and you shall visit6485 your habitation,5116 and shall not sin.2398

25 You shall know3045 also that your seed2233 shall be great,7227 and your offspring6631 as the grass6212 of the earth.776
