Chapter 7

1 THEN God said to Noah, Enter into the ark; you and all your household, for you alone have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

2 Of all clean animals you shall take with you seven pairs, both males and females; and of the beasts that are not clean two pairs, males and females.

3 Likewise, of the fowls of the air that are clean seven pairs, both males and the females; to keep their posterity alive upon the face of the earth.

4 For in seven days I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living thing that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.

5 And Noah did according to all that the LORD commanded him.

6 And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters came upon the earth.

7 And Noah, with his sons and his wife and his sons' wives, went into the ark because of the waters of the flood.

8 Of clean animals, and of unclean animals, and of fowls, and of everything that creeps upon the earth,

9 There went in two and two with Noah into the ark, the males and the females, as God had commanded Noah.

10 And it came to pass after seven days that the waters of the flood came upon the earth.

11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that very day all the fountains of the great deep burst forth and the windows of heaven were opened.

12 And the rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.

13 On that same day entered Noah and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with him, into the ark;

14 They and every beast after its kind and all the cattle after their kind and every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth after its kind and every fowl after its kind, every bird of every sort.

15 They went with Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh in which there is the breath of life.

16 And they that entered, males and females of every living thing went in, as God had commanded him. Then the LORD shut him in.

17 And the flood lasted forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased and bore up the ark so that it was lifted up above the earth.

18 And the waters prevailed and rose higher upon the earth; and the ark floated on the face of the waters.

19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; so that all the high mountains under the whole heaven were covered.

20 Fifteen cubits above the mountains did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.

21 And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl and of cattle and of wild beast and of every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth and every man:

22 Everything in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was on the dry land, died.

23 And every living thing was destroyed that was upon the face of the ground, both man and animals and the creeping things and the fowl of the air; they were destroyed from the earth; and Noah only remained, and those who were with him in the ark.

24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth a hundred and fifty days.

3 Desselbengleichen von den Vögeln5775 unter dem Himmel8064 je sieben und sieben, das776 Männlein2145 und sein Fräulein5347, auf6440 daß Same2233 lebendig2421 bleibe auf dem ganzen Erdboden.

4 Denn noch über5750 sieben7651 Tage3117 will ich regnen4305 lassen auf5921 Erden776 vierzig705 Tage3117 und vierzig705 Nächte3915 und vertilgen4229 von6440 dem Erdboden127 alles3605, was das Wesen hat3351, das ich gemacht habe6213.

5 Und Noah5146 tat6213 alles, was ihm der HErr3068 gebot6680.

6 Er5146 war aber sechshundert8337 Jahre8141 alt1121, da das Wasser4325 der Sintflut3999 auf Erden776 kam.

7 Und5146 er ging935 in den Kasten8392 mit seinen Söhnen1121, seinem Weibe802 und seiner Söhne1121 Weibern802 vor6440 dem Gewässer4325 der Sintflut3999.

8 Von dem reinen2889 Vieh929 und von dem unreinen, von den Vögeln5775 und von allem Gewürm7430 auf Erden127

9 gingen935 zu ihm5146 in den Kasten8392 bei Paaren, je ein Männlein2145 und5146 Fräulein5347, wie834 ihm der HErr geboten hatte6680.

10 Und da die sieben7651 Tage3117 vergangen waren, kam das Gewässer4325 der Sintflut3999 auf Erden776.

11 In8141 dem sechshundertsten8337 Jahr8141 des Alters2416 Noah5146, am siebzehnten Tag3117 des andern8145 Monats2320, das ist der Tag3117, da2088 aufbrachen1234 alle Brunnen4599 der großen7227 Tiefe8415, und3967 taten sich auf6605 die Fenster699 des Himmels8064,

14 dazu allerlei Tier2416 nach seiner Art4327, allerlei Vieh929 nach seiner Art4327, allerlei Gewürm7431, das auf Erden776 kreucht7430, nach seiner Art4327 und1992 allerlei Vögel5775 nach ihrer Art4327 alles, was fliegen konnte6833, und alles, was Fittiche3671 hatte.

15 Das ging935 alles zu Noah5146 in den Kasten8392 bei Paaren, von allem Fleisch1320, da834 ein lebendiger2416 Geist7307 innen war

16 und das waren935 Männlein2145 und Fräulein5347 von allerlei Fleisch1320 und gingen935 hinein, wie denn GOtt430 ihm geboten hatte6680. Und der HErr3068 schloß hinter ihm zu5462.

17 Da kam die Sintflut3999 vierzig705 Tage3117 auf5375 Erden776; und die Wasser4325 wuchsen7235 und huben den Kasten8392 auf und trugen ihn empor7311 über der Erde776.

18 Also nahm das Gewässer4325 überhand1396 und wuchs sehr3966 auf6440 Erden776, daß der Kasten8392 auf dem7235 Gewässer4325 fuhr3212.

19 Und das Gewässer4325 nahm überhand1396 und wuchs so sehr auf Erden776, daß alle hohen1364 Berge2022 unter8478 dem ganzen Himmel8064 bedeckt wurden3680.

20 Fünfzehn Ellen520 hoch4605 ging1396 das Gewässer4325 über die Berge2022, die bedeckt wurden3680.

21 Da ging1478 alles Fleisch1320 unter, das776 auf Erden776 kreucht7430, an Vögeln5775, an Vieh929, an Tieren2416 und an allem8318, das sich reget auf Erden8317, und an allen Menschen120.

22 Alles, was einen lebendigen2416 Odem7307 hatte im Trocknen, das starb4191.

23 Also ward vertilget alles, was834 auf6440 dem Erdboden war3351, vom Menschen120 an bis auf das776 Vieh929 und auf das Gewürm7431 und auf die Vögel5775 unter dem Himmel8064: das ward alles von der Erde127 vertilget. Allein389 Noah5146 blieb über, und was mit ihm in dem Kasten8392 war.
