Chapter 14

1 Now Hiram2438 king4428 of Tyre6865 sent7971 messengers4397 to413 David,1732 and timber6086 of cedars,730 with masons2796 7023 and carpenters,2796 6086 to build1129 him a house.1004

2 And David1732 perceived3045 that3588 the LORD3068 had confirmed3559 him king4428 over5921 Israel,3478 for3588 his kingdom4438 was lifted up5375 on high,4605 because of5668 his people5971 Israel.3478

3 And David1732 took3947 more5750 wives802 at Jerusalem:3389 and David1732 begot3205 more5750 sons1121 and daughters.1323

4 Now these428 are the names8034 of his children3205 which834 he had1961 in Jerusalem;3389 Shammua,8051 and Shobab,7727 Nathan,5416 and Solomon,8010

5 And Ibhar,2984 and Elishua,474 and Elpalet,467

6 And Nogah,5052 and Nepheg,5298 and Japhia,3309

7 And Elishama,476 and Beeliada,1182 and Eliphalet.467

8 And when the Philistines6430 heard8085 that3588 David1732 was anointed4886 king4428 over5921 all3605 Israel,3478 all3605 the Philistines6430 went up5927 to seek1245 853 David.1732 And David1732 heard8085 of it, and went out3318 against6440 them.

9 And the Philistines6430 came935 and spread6584 themselves in the valley6010 of Rephaim.7497

10 And David1732 inquired7592 of God,430 saying,559 Shall I go up5927 against5921 the Philistines?6430 and wilt thou deliver5414 them into mine hand?3027 And the LORD3068 said559 unto him, Go up;5927 for I will deliver5414 them into thine hand.3027

11 So they came up5927 to Baal-perazim;1188 and David1732 smote5221 them there.8033 Then David1732 said,559 God430 hath broken in6555 853 upon mine enemies341 by mine hand3027 like the breaking forth6556 of waters:4325 therefore5921 3651 they called7121 the name8034 of that1931 place4725 Baal-perazim.1188

12 And when they had left5800 853 their gods430 there,8033 David1732 gave a commandment,559 and they were burned8313 with fire.784

13 And the Philistines6430 yet5750 again3254 spread themselves abroad6584 in the valley.6010

14 Therefore David1732 inquired7592 again5750 of God;430 and God430 said559 unto him Go not up3808 5927 after310 them; turn away5437 from4480 5921 them, and come935 upon them over against4480 4136 the mulberry trees.1057

15 And it shall be,1961 when thou shalt hear8085 853 a sound6963 of going6807 in the tops7218 of the mulberry trees,1057 that then227 thou shalt go out3318 to battle:4421 for3588 God430 is gone forth3318 before6440 thee to smite5221 853 the host4264 of the Philistines.6430

16 David1732 therefore did6213 as834 God430 commanded6680 him: and they smote5221 853 the host4264 of the Philistines6430 from Gibeon4480 1391 even to5704 Gazer.1507

17 And the fame8034 of David1732 went out3318 into all3605 lands;776 and the LORD3068 brought5414 853 the fear6343 of him upon5921 all3605 nations.1471

Глава 14

1 Хирам, тирский царь, отправил к Давиду послов, а также послал ему кедровые брёвна, каменщиков и плотников, чтобы построить дом для Давида.

2 Тогда Давид увидел, что Господь действительно сделал его царём Израиля. Господь сделал царство Давида очень большим и могущественным ради Израиля, Своего народа.

3 В Иерусалиме Давид взял себе ещё жён, и у него родились другие сыновья и дочери.

4 Вот имена детей, родившихся у Давида в Иерусалиме: Шаммуй, Совав, Нафан, Соломон,

5 Ивхар, Елисуа, Елфалет,

6 Ногаг, Нефег, Иафиа,

7 Елишама, Веелиада и Елифелет.

8 Когда филистимляне услышали, что Давид был избран царём Израиля, они все вместе вышли на поиски Давида. Однако он узнал об этом и вышел сразиться с филистимлянами.

9 Филистимляне напали на людей, живших в долине Рефаимов, и ограбили их.

10 Тогда Давид спросил Бога: «Должен ли я пойти и сразиться с филистимлянами? Позволишь ли Ты мне разбить их?» И ответил Господь Давиду: «Иди. Я позволю тебе одолеть филистимлян».

11 Тогда Давид и его люди поднялись к городу Ваал-Перацим, и там они разбили филистимлян. И сказал Давид: «Как вода прорывается из разбитой плотины, так и Бог прорвался сквозь моих врагов. Он сделал это моими руками». Поэтому то место было названо Ваал-Перацим.

12 Филистимляне оставили в этом городе своих идолов, и Давид повелел их сжечь.

13 Филистимляне опять напали на людей, живших в долине Рефаимов.

14 Давид снова обратился к Богу, и Бог ответил на его молитву. Бог сказал: «Давид, не иди прямо на филистимлян, обойди их и спрячься возле тутовой рощи.

15 Когда ты услышишь шум шагов на вершинах деревьев, тогда атакуй филистимлян. Я выйду перед тобой и разобью филистимское войско!»

16 Давид сделал, как повелел ему Бог. Он разбил войско филистимлян и убивал их на всём пути от Гаваона до Газера.

17 Слава о Давиде пронеслась по всем странам. Господь сделал так, чтобы все народы боялись Давида.

14 Давид снова обратился к Богу, и Бог ответил на его молитву. Бог сказал: «Давид, не иди прямо на филистимлян, обойди их и спрячься возле тутовой рощи.

15 Когда ты услышишь шум шагов на вершинах деревьев, тогда атакуй филистимлян. Я выйду перед тобой и разобью филистимское войско!»
