2 I have loved157 you, saith559 the LORD.3068 Yet ye say,559 Wherein4100 hast thou loved157 us? Was not3808 Esau6215 Jacob's3290 brother?251 saith5002 the LORD:3068 yet I loved157 853 Jacob,3290

3 And I hated8130 Esau,6215 and laid7760 853 his mountains2022 and his heritage5159 waste8077 for the dragons8568 of the wilderness.4057

4 Whereas3588 Edom123 saith,559 We are impoverished,7567 but we will return7725 and build1129 the desolate places;2723 thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 They1992 shall build,1129 but I589 will throw down;2040 and they shall call7121 them, The border1366 of wickedness,7564 and, The people5971 against whom834 the LORD3068 hath indignation2194 forever.5704 5769

5 And your eyes5869 shall see,7200 and ye859 shall say,559 The LORD3068 will be magnified1431 from4480 5921 the border1366 of Israel.3478

6 A son1121 honoreth3513 his father,1 and a servant5650 his master:113 if518 then I589 be a father,1 where346 is mine honor?3519 and if518 I589 be a master,113 where346 is my fear?4172 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts6635 unto you, O priests,3548 that despise959 my name.8034 And ye say,559 Wherein4100 have we despised959 853 thy name?8034

7 Ye offer5066 polluted1351 bread3899 upon5921 mine altar;4196 and ye say,559 Wherein4100 have we polluted1351 thee? In that ye say,559 The table7979 of the LORD3068 is contemptible.959

8 And if3588 ye offer5066 the blind5787 for sacrifice,2076 is it not369 evil?7451 and if3588 ye offer5066 the lame6455 and sick,2470 is it not369 evil?7451 offer7126 it now4994 unto thy governor;6346 will he be pleased7521 with thee, or176 accept5375 thy person?6440 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts.6635

9 And now,6258 I pray you,4994 beseech2470 God410 that he will be gracious2603 unto us: this2063 hath been1961 by your means:4480 3027 will he regard5375 your4480 persons?6440 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts.6635

10 Who4310 is there even1571 among you that would shut5462 the doors1817 for naught? neither3808 do ye kindle215 fire on mine altar4196 for naught.2600 I have no369 pleasure2656 in you, saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 neither3808 will I accept7521 an offering4503 at your hand.4480 3027

11 For3588 from the rising4480 4217 of the sun8121 even unto5704 the going down3996 of the same my name8034 shall be great1419 among the Gentiles;1471 and in every3605 place4725 incense6999 shall be offered5066 unto my name,8034 and a pure2889 offering:4503 for3588 my name8034 shall be great1419 among the heathen,1471 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts.6635

12 But ye859 have profaned2490 it, in that ye say,559 The table7979 of the LORD136 is polluted;1351 and the fruit5108 thereof, even his meat,400 is contemptible.959

13 Ye said559 also, Behold,2009 what a weariness4972 8513 is it! and ye have snuffed at5301 it, saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts;6635 and ye brought935 that which was torn,1497 and the lame,6455 and the sick;2470 thus ye brought935 853 an offering:4503 should I accept7521 this of your hand?4480 3027 saith559 the LORD.3068

14 But cursed779 be the deceiver,5230 which hath3426 in his flock5739 a male,2145 and voweth,5087 and sacrificeth2076 unto the Lord136 a corrupt thing:7843 for3588 I589 am a great1419 King,4428 saith559 the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 and my name8034 is dreadful3372 among the heathen.1471

2 – Я возлюбил вас, – говорит Вечный, – а вы говорите: «В чём Ты проявил любовь к нам?» Разве Есав не был братом Якуба? – возвещает Вечный. – Но Я избрал Якуба,

3 а не Есава. Я предал его нагорья опустошению и бросил его надел шакалам пустыни.

4 Если Эдом говорит: «Мы разгромлены, но отстроим разрушенное», то Вечный, Повелитель Сил, говорит: «Они отстроят, а Я разрушу. Их назовут Нечестивым Краем, народом, на который Вечный прогневался навеки.

5 Вы сами увидите это и скажете: „Вечный велик и за пределами Исраила!“»

6 – Сын почитает отца, а слуга – своего господина. Если Я Отец, то где почтение ко Мне? Если Я Господин, то где ко Мне уважение? – говорит вам, священнослужители, бесчестящие Моё имя, Вечный, Повелитель Сил. – Вы говорите: «Чем мы бесчестим Твоё имя?»

7 Вы кладёте на Мой жертвенник осквернённую пищу. Вы говорите: «Чем мы Тебя оскорбили?» Вы считаете, что столом Вечного можно пренебрегать.

8 Когда вы приносите в жертву слепых животных, разве это не преступление? Когда вы приносите хромое и больное, разве это не преступление? Предложи-ка это своему правителю! Будет он тобою доволен? Будет он к тебе благосклонен? – говорит Вечный, Повелитель Сил.

9 Молите Всевышнего, чтобы Он нас помиловал! – Будет ли Он к вам благосклонен за такие жертвы из ваших рук? – говорит Вечный, Повелитель Сил. –

10 Запер бы лучше кто-либо из вас двери храма, чтобы вы не жгли напрасно на Моём жертвеннике огня! Вы Мне неугодны, – говорит Вечный, Повелитель Сил, – Я не приму дар из ваших рук.

11 От восхода солнца до заката Моё имя будет великим среди народов. На всяком месте Моему имени будут приносить благовония и чистые дары, потому что Моё имя будет великим среди народов, – говорит Вечный, Повелитель Сил. –

12 А вы бесчестите его, говоря, что стол Владыки нечист, а пищей для него можно пренебрегать.

13 Вы говорите: «Какое бремя!» – и воротите от него нос, – говорит Вечный, Повелитель Сил. – Когда вы приводите краденый, хромой или больной скот и приносите его в жертву, почему Я должен принимать такую жертву из ваших рук? – говорит Вечный. –

14 Проклят обманщик, у которого в стаде есть хороший самец, и он клянётся отдать его Владыке, а потом приносит Ему в жертву животное с изъяном. . Ведь Я – великий Царь, – говорит Вечный, Повелитель Сил, – и Моё имя чтится среди народов.

2 – Я возлюбил вас, – говорит Вечный, – а вы говорите: «В чём Ты проявил любовь к нам?» Разве Есав не был братом Якуба? – возвещает Вечный. – Но Я избрал Якуба,

7 Вы кладёте на Мой жертвенник осквернённую пищу. Вы говорите: «Чем мы Тебя оскорбили?» Вы считаете, что столом Вечного можно пренебрегать.
