Chapter 5

1 And Moses4872 called7121 all3605 Israel,3478 and said559 to them, Hear,8085 O Israel,3478 the statutes2706 and judgments4941 which834 I speak1696 in your ears241 this day,3117 that you may learn3925 them, and keep,8104 and do6213 them.

2 The LORD3068 our God430 made3772 a covenant1285 with us in Horeb.2722

3 The LORD3068 made3772 not this2063 covenant1285 with our fathers,1 but with us, even us, who428 are all3605 of us here6311 alive2416 this day.3117

4 The LORD3068 talked1696 with you face6440 to face6440 in the mount2022 out of the middle8432 of the fire,784

5 (I stood5975 between996 the LORD3068 and you at that time,6256 to show5046 you the word1697 of the LORD:3068 for you were afraid3372 by reason6440 of the fire,784 and went5927 not up into the mount;2022) saying,559

6 I am the LORD3068 your God,430 which834 brought3318 you out of the land776 of Egypt,4714 from the house1004 of bondage.5650

7 You shall have1961 none other312 gods430 before5921 6440 me.

8 You shall not make6213 you any3605 graven6459 image, or any3605 likeness8544 of any thing that is in heaven8064 above,4605 or that is in the earth776 beneath,8478 or that is in the waters4325 beneath8478 the earth:776

9 You shall not bow7812 down7812 yourself to them, nor3808 serve5647 them: for I the LORD3068 your God430 am a jealous7067 God,410 visiting6485 the iniquity5771 of the fathers1 on the children1121 to the third8029 and fourth7256 generation of them that hate8130 me,

10 And showing6213 mercy2617 to thousands505 of them that love157 me and keep8104 my commandments.4687

11 You shall not take5375 the name8034 of the LORD3068 your God430 in vain:7723 for the LORD3068 will not hold him guiltless5352 that takes5375 his name8034 in vain.7723

12 Keep8104 the sabbath7676 day3117 to sanctify6942 it, as the LORD3068 your God430 has commanded6680 you.

13 Six8337 days3117 you shall labor,5647 and do6213 all3605 your work:4399

14 But the seventh7637 day3117 is the sabbath7676 of the LORD3068 your God:430 in it you shall not do6213 any3605 work,4399 you, nor your son,1121 nor your daughter,1323 nor your manservant,5650 nor your maidservant,519 nor your ox,7794 nor your ass,2543 nor any3605 of your cattle,929 nor your stranger1616 that is within your gates;8179 that your manservant5650 and your maidservant519 may rest5117 as well as you.

15 And remember2142 that you were1961 a servant5650 in the land776 of Egypt,4714 and that the LORD3068 your God430 brought3318 you out there8033 through a mighty2389 hand3027 and by a stretched5186 out arm:2220 therefore5921 3651 the LORD3068 your God430 commanded6680 you to keep6213 the sabbath7676 day.3117

16 Honor3513 your father1 and your mother,517 as the LORD3068 your God430 has commanded6680 you; that your days3117 may be prolonged,748 and that it may go well3190 with you, in the land127 which834 the LORD3068 your God430 gives5414 you.

17 You shall not kill.7523

18 Neither3808 shall you commit5003 adultery.5003

23 And it came1961 to pass, when you heard8085 the voice6963 out of the middle8432 of the darkness,2822 (for the mountain2022 did burn1197 with fire,784) that you came7126 near7126 to me, even all3605 the heads7218 of your tribes,7626 and your elders;2205

24 And you said,559 Behold,2005 the LORD3068 our God430 has showed7200 us his glory3519 and his greatness,1433 and we have heard8085 his voice6963 out of the middle8432 of the fire:784 we have seen7200 this2088 day3117 that God430 does talk1696 with man,120 and he lives.2425

25 Now6258 therefore why4100 should we die?4191 for this2063 great1419 fire784 will consume398 us: if518 we hear8085 the voice6963 of the LORD3068 our God430 any more,3254 then we shall die.4191

26 For who4310 is there of all3605 flesh,1320 that has heard8085 the voice6963 of the living2416 God430 speaking1696 out of the middle8432 of the fire,784 as we have, and lived?2421

27 Go7126 you near,7126 and hear8085 all3605 that the LORD3068 our God430 shall say:559 and speak1696 you to us all3605 that the LORD3068 our God430 shall speak1696 to you; and we will hear8085 it, and do6213 it.

28 And the LORD3068 heard8085 the voice6963 of your words,1697 when you spoke1696 to me; and the LORD3068 said559 to me, I have heard8085 the voice6963 of the words1697 of this2088 people,5971 which834 they have spoken1696 to you: they have well3190 said all3605 that they have spoken.1696

29 O that there were such2088 an heart3824 in them, that they would fear3372 me, and keep8104 all3605 my commandments4687 always,3605 3117 that it might be well3190 with them, and with their children1121 for ever!5769

30 Go3212 say559 to them, Get7725 you into your tents168 again.7725

31 But as for you, stand5975 you here6311 by me, and I will speak1696 to you all3605 the commandments,4687 and the statutes,2706 and the judgments,4941 which834 you shall teach3925 them, that they may do6213 them in the land776 which834 I give5414 them to possess3423 it.

32 You shall observe8104 to do6213 therefore as the LORD3068 your God430 has commanded6680 you: you shall not turn5493 aside to the right3225 hand3225 or to the left.8040

33 You shall walk3212 in all3605 the ways1870 which834 the LORD3068 your God430 has commanded6680 you, that you may live,2421 and that it may be well2895 with you, and that you may prolong748 your days3117 in the land776 which834 you shall possess.3423

3 Не только с нашими отцами Господь заключил этот завет, но с нами, со всеми, кто живет здесь сегодня.

4 Господь говорил с вами лицом к лицу из огня на горе.

5 (В то время я стоял между Господом и вами, чтобы объявлять вам слово Господа, потому что вы боялись огня и не поднимались на гору.) Он сказал:

6 «Я — Господь, твой Бог, Который вывел тебя из Египта, земли рабства.

7 Пусть не будет у тебя других богов, кроме Меня.

8 Не делай себе идола — никакого изображения того, что на небе вверху, на земле внизу, или в водах ниже земли.

9 Не поклоняйся им и не служи им, ведь Я, Господь, твой Бог — ревнивый Бог, наказывающий детей за грехи отцов до третьего и четвертого поколения тех, кто ненавидит Меня,

10 но являющий милость тысячам поколений тех, кто любит Меня и соблюдает Мои повеления.

11 Не используй имени Господа, твоего Бога, напрасно, потому что Господь не оставит безнаказанным никого, кто использует Его имя напрасно.

12 Соблюдай субботний день и храни его святым, как повелел тебе Господь, твой Бог.

13 Шесть дней трудись и делай всю свою работу,

14 но седьмой день — это суббота Господу, твоему Богу. Не делай в этот день никакой работы — ни ты, ни твой сын или дочь, ни слуга или служанка, ни вол, ни осел, ни какой другой скот, ни чужеземец в твоих городах, чтобы твои слуга и служанка могли отдохнуть, как и ты сам.

15 Помни, что ты был рабом в Египте и что Господь, твой Бог, вывел тебя оттуда могучей дланью и простертой рукой. Поэтому Господь, твой Бог, повелел тебе соблюдать субботний день.

16 Почитай своего отца и мать, как повелел тебе Господь, твой Бог, чтобы тебе жить долго и благополучно на земле, которую дает тебе Господь, твой Бог.

17 Не убивай.

18 Не нарушай супружескую верность.

19 Не кради.

20 Не давай ложного свидетельства на другого.

21 Не желай жены твоего ближнего. Не желай дома или земли ближнего, его слуги или служанки, его вола или осла: ничего из того, что принадлежит ближнему твоему».

22 Это повеления, которые Господь объявил громким голосом всей вашей общине там, на горе, из огня, облака и кромешной тьмы. Больше Он ничего не добавил. Потом Он написал эти повеления на двух каменных плитках и дал их мне.

23 Когда вы слышали голос из тьмы, а гора пылала огнем, все вожди ваших родов и ваши старейшины пришли ко мне

24 и сказали: «Господь, наш Бог, показал нам Свою славу и величие, и мы слышали Его голос из огня. Сегодня мы увидели, что человек может жить, даже если Бог говорит с ним.

25 Но зачем нам умирать теперь? Этот великий огонь пожрет нас, и мы погибнем, если и дальше будем слышать голос Господа, нашего Бога.

26 Ведь кто из смертных когда-либо слышал, как мы, голос живого Бога, говорящего из огня, и остался жив?

27 Иди и выслушай, что говорит Господь, наш Бог. Потом перескажи нам все, что Господь, наш Бог, тебе скажет. Мы выслушаем и исполним».

28 Господь услышал вас, когда вы говорили со мной, и сказал мне: «Я услышал, что говорили тебе эти люди. Все, что они сказали, хорошо.

29 О если бы их сердце побуждало их всегда бояться Меня и соблюдать все Мои повеления, то с ними и с их детьми все было бы благополучно!

30 Иди, скажи им, чтобы они вернулись к своим шатрам.

31 Но сам останься здесь со Мной, чтобы Я дал тебе все повеления, установления и законы. Ты должен научить их следовать им в земле, которую Я отдаю им во владение».

32 Смотрите же, исполняйте то, что повелел вам Господь, ваш Бог; не уклоняйтесь ни вправо, ни влево.

33 Всегда идите тем путем, которым повелел вам идти Господь, ваш Бог, чтобы жить и преуспевать, и умножить свои дни в земле, которой вы завладеете.

25 Но зачем нам умирать теперь? Этот великий огонь пожрет нас, и мы погибнем, если и дальше будем слышать голос Господа, нашего Бога.

26 For who4310 is there of all3605 flesh,1320 that has heard8085 the voice6963 of the living2416 God430 speaking1696 out of the middle8432 of the fire,784 as we have, and lived?2421

26 Ведь кто из смертных когда-либо слышал, как мы, голос живого Бога, говорящего из огня, и остался жив?

27 Go7126 you near,7126 and hear8085 all3605 that the LORD3068 our God430 shall say:559 and speak1696 you to us all3605 that the LORD3068 our God430 shall speak1696 to you; and we will hear8085 it, and do6213 it.

27 Иди и выслушай, что говорит Господь, наш Бог. Потом перескажи нам все, что Господь, наш Бог, тебе скажет. Мы выслушаем и исполним».

28 And the LORD3068 heard8085 the voice6963 of your words,1697 when you spoke1696 to me; and the LORD3068 said559 to me, I have heard8085 the voice6963 of the words1697 of this2088 people,5971 which834 they have spoken1696 to you: they have well3190 said all3605 that they have spoken.1696

28 Господь услышал вас, когда вы говорили со мной, и сказал мне: «Я услышал, что говорили тебе эти люди. Все, что они сказали, хорошо.
