第46章

1 耶和華攻擊外邦人［against the Gentiles］的話臨到先知耶利米，

2 這話是攻擊埃及［Against Egypt］、攻擊［against］埃及王法老．尼哥的軍隊：這軍隊安營在幼發拉底河邊的迦基米施，是巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒在猶大王約西亞的兒子約雅敬第四年所打敗的。

3 你們要預備擋牌［buckler］盾牌，往前上陣。

4 馬兵哪［ye horsemen］，你們要給馬套上甲［Harness the horses］，騎上馬；頂盔站立，磨槍貫甲。

5 我為何看見他們驚惶轉身退後呢？他們的勇士打敗了，急忙逃跑，並不回頭；原來［for］驚嚇四圍都有，這是耶和華說的。

6 不要容［Let not］快跑的逃避，不要容［Let not］勇士逃脫；他們必絆跌［they shall stumble］，仆向北方幼發拉底河邊［fall toward the north by the river Euphrates］。

7 這［this］像洪水［flood］漲發，像江河之水流動［moved］的是誰呢？

8 埃及像洪水［flood］漲發，他的水流動，像江河的水［his waters are moved like the rivers］。他說：我要上去［go up］遮蓋遍地；我要毀滅城邑和其中的居民。

9 馬匹上去吧。車輛急行吧。勇士，就是手拿盾牌的埃塞俄比亞人和利比亞人［Libyans］，並拉弓的呂底亞人［Lydians］，都出去吧。

10 這日是［this is］主─大軍之耶和華報仇的日子，要向敵人報仇；刀劍必吞吃得飽，飲血飲足；因為主─大軍之耶和華在北方幼發拉底河邊有獻祭的事。

11 作處女的女子埃及［virgin, the daughter of Egypt］啊，可以上基列取乳香去；你雖多服良藥，總是徒然，因你必［for thou shalt］不得治好。

12 列國聽見你的羞辱，你的哀聲遍滿了地［thy cry hath filled the land］；勇士與勇士彼此相碰，便［and］一齊跌倒。

13 耶和華對先知耶利米所說的話，論到巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒要來攻擊埃及地。

14 你們要傳揚在埃及，宣告在密奪，報告在挪弗、答比匿說：要堅立站穩［Stand fast］，自作準備，因為刀劍要［shall］在你四圍施行吞滅的事。

15 你的勇士［valiant men］為何被沖去呢？他們站立不住，因為耶和華驅逐他們。

16 他［He］使多人跌倒［fall］，彼此仆倒其上［one fell upon another］；他們便［and they］說：起來吧，我們再往本民本地去，好躲避欺壓的刀劍。

17 他們在那裏喊叫說：埃及王法老不過是個聲音［a noise］；他已錯過所定的時候了。

18 君王─名為大軍之耶和華的說：我指著我的永生起誓：他［he］來的勢派必像他泊在眾山之中，像迦密在海邊一樣。

19 你這［thou］住在埃及的女子［daughter］啊，要預備擄去時所用的物件；因為挪弗必荒廢淒涼［be waste and desolate］，無一［an］人居住。

20 埃及好像極［like a very］肥美的母牛犢，但毀滅來到了［destruction cometh］；毀滅出於北方［it cometh out of the north］。

21 其中的雇勇好像肥公牛犢［fatted bullocks］，他們也［also］轉身退後，一齊逃跑；他們［they］站立不住，因為他們遭難的日子、追討的時候已經臨到。

22 其中的聲音好像蛇行一樣。敵人要成隊而來，如砍伐樹木的手拿斧子攻擊她。

23 耶和華說：埃及的樹林雖然不能尋察［cannot be searched］，敵人卻要砍下［cut down］；因他們多於蚱蜢［grasshoppers］，不可勝數。

24 女子埃及［daughter of Egypt］必然抱愧［confounded］，必交在北方人的手中。

25 大軍之耶和華─以色列的神說：看哪［Behold］，我必刑罰挪的眾人［multitude of No］和法老，並埃及與埃及人的眾神［their gods］，以及君王─就是［even］必刑罰法老和一切［all］倚靠他的人；

26 我又［And］要將他們交付尋索其命之人的手和巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒與他臣僕的手；以後埃及必再有人居住，與從前一樣。這是耶和華說的。」

27 然而［But］，我的僕人雅各啊，不要懼怕；以色列啊，不要驚惶；看哪［behold］，因我要從遠方拯救你，從被擄到之地拯救你的後裔。雅各必回來，得以休息［and be in rest］安逸，無人使他害怕。

28 我的僕人雅各啊，不要懼怕。因我與你同在；我要將我所趕你到的那些國滅絕淨盡，卻不將你滅絕淨盡，倒要從寬懲治你；只是我不能全然不罰你［yet will I not leave thee wholly unpunished］，這是耶和華說的。

15 Why4069 are your valiant47 men swept5502 away? they stood5975 not, because3588 the LORD3068 did drive1920 them.

16 He made many7235 to fall,3782 yes, one376 fell5307 on another:7453 and they said,559 Arise,6965 and let us go7725 again7725 to our own people,5971 and to the land776 of our nativity,4138 from the oppressing3238 sword.2719

17 They did cry7121 there,8033 Pharaoh6547 king4428 of Egypt4714 is but a noise;7588 he has passed5674 the time appointed.4150

20 Egypt4714 is like a very3304 fair3304 heifer,5697 but destruction7171 comes;935 it comes935 out of the north.6828

21 Also1571 her hired7916 men are in the middle7130 of her like fatted4770 bullocks;5695 for they also1571 are turned6437 back,3437 and are fled5127 away together:3162 they did not stand,5975 because3588 the day3117 of their calamity343 was come935 on them, and the time6256 of their visitation.6486

22 The voice6963 thereof shall go3212 like a serpent;5175 for they shall march3212 with an army,2428 and come935 against her with axes,7134 as hewers2404 of wood.6086

23 They shall cut3772 down her forest,3293 said5002 the LORD,3068 though3588 it cannot3808 be searched;2713 because3588 they are more7231 than the grasshoppers,697 and are innumerable.369 4557

24 The daughter1323 of Egypt4714 shall be confounded;3001 she shall be delivered5414 into the hand3027 of the people5971 of the north.6828

25 The LORD3068 of hosts,6635 the God430 of Israel,3478 said;559 Behold,2005 I will punish6485 the multitude527 of No,4996 and Pharaoh,6547 and Egypt,4714 with their gods,430 and their kings;4428 even Pharaoh,6547 and all them that trust982 in him:

28 Fear3372 you not, O Jacob3290 my servant,5650 said5002 the LORD:3068 for I am with you; for I will make6213 a full end3615 of all3605 the nations1471 where834 8033 I have driven5080 you: but I will not make6213 a full end3615 of you, but correct3256 you in measure;4941 yet will I not leave you wholly5352 unpunished.5352

25 大軍之耶和華─以色列的神說：看哪［Behold］，我必刑罰挪的眾人［multitude of No］和法老，並埃及與埃及人的眾神［their gods］，以及君王─就是［even］必刑罰法老和一切［all］倚靠他的人；

26 我又［And］要將他們交付尋索其命之人的手和巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒與他臣僕的手；以後埃及必再有人居住，與從前一樣。這是耶和華說的。」

26 And I will deliver5414 them into the hand3027 of those that seek1245 their lives,5315 and into the hand3027 of Nebuchadrezzar5019 king4428 of Babylon,894 and into the hand3027 of his servants:5650 and afterward310 3651 it shall be inhabited,7931 as in the days3117 of old,6924 said5002 the LORD.3068

27 然而［But］，我的僕人雅各啊，不要懼怕；以色列啊，不要驚惶；看哪［behold］，因我要從遠方拯救你，從被擄到之地拯救你的後裔。雅各必回來，得以休息［and be in rest］安逸，無人使他害怕。
