1 І сказав Господь Ноєві: „Увійди ти й увесь дім твій до ковчегу, бо Я бачив тебе праведним перед лицем Своїм в оцім роді.

2 Із усякої чистої худоби візьмеш собі по семеро, самця та самицю її, а з худоби нечистої — двоє: самця та самицю її.

3 Також із птаства небесного по семеро, самця та самицю, щоб насіння сховати живим на поверхні всієї землі.

4 Ось бо по семи днях Я литиму на землю дощ сорок день і сорок ночей, — і всяку істоту, яку Я вчинив, зітру з-над поверхні землі!“

5 І зробив Ной усе, як звелів був Господь.

6 А Ной був віку шостисот літ, і стався пото́п, — вода на землі.

7 І ввійшов Ной, і сини його, і жінка його, і невістки його з ним до ковчегу перед водою потопу.

8 Із чистої худоби та з худоби, що нечиста вона, і з птаства, і всього, що плазує на землі,

9 по двоє ввійшли до Ноя до ковчегу, самець і самиця, як Бог Ноєві був ізвелів.

10 І сталося по семи днях, — і во́ди потопу лину́ли на землю.

11 Року шостої сотні літ життя Ноєвого, місяця другого, сімнадцятого дня місяця, — цього дня відкрилися всі джере́ла великої безодні, і розчинилися небесні розтвори.

12 І був дощ на землі сорок день і сорок ночей.

13 Того саме дня до ковчегу ввійшов Ной, і Сим, і Хам та Яфет, сини Ноєві, і жінка Ноєва, і три невістки його з ними,

14 вони та всяка звірина за родом її, і всяка худоба за родом її, і всяке плазуюче, що плазу́є по землі, за родом його, і всяке птаство за родом його, усяка пташка крилата.

15 І ввійшли до Ноя, до ковчегу по двоє із кожного тіла, що в нім дух життя.

16 А те, що ввійшло, — самець і самиця з кожного тіла ввійшли, як звелів йому Бог. І замкнув Господь за ним ковчега.

17 І був пото́п сорок день на землі, і збільшилась вода, і поне́сла ковчега. І він ви́соко став над землею.

18 І прибула вода, і сильно збільши́лась вона на землі, — і пливав ковчег на поверхні води.

19 І дуже-дуже вода на землі прибула́, і покрились усі гори високі, що під небом усім.

20 На п'ятнадцять ліктів уго́ру вода прибула, — і покрилися гори.

21 І вимерло всяке тіло, що рухається на землі: серед птаства, і серед скотини, і серед звірини, і серед усіх плазунів, що плазують по землі, і кожна люди́на.

22 Усе, що в ніздрях його дух життя, з усього, що на суходолі — вимерло було.

23 І винищив Бог усяку істоту на поверхні землі, від людини аж до скотини, аж до плазуна́, і аж до птаства небесного, — вони стерлись з землі. І зостався тільки Ной та те, що з ним у ковчезі було.

24 І прибувала вода на землі сто і п'ятдесят день.

Chapter 7

1 THEN God said to Noah, Enter into the ark; you and all your household, for you alone have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

2 Of all clean animals you shall take with you seven pairs, both males and females; and of the beasts that are not clean two pairs, males and females.

3 Likewise, of the fowls of the air that are clean seven pairs, both males and the females; to keep their posterity alive upon the face of the earth.

4 For in seven days I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living thing that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.

5 And Noah did according to all that the LORD commanded him.

6 And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters came upon the earth.

7 And Noah, with his sons and his wife and his sons' wives, went into the ark because of the waters of the flood.

8 Of clean animals, and of unclean animals, and of fowls, and of everything that creeps upon the earth,

9 There went in two and two with Noah into the ark, the males and the females, as God had commanded Noah.

10 And it came to pass after seven days that the waters of the flood came upon the earth.

11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that very day all the fountains of the great deep burst forth and the windows of heaven were opened.

12 And the rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.

13 On that same day entered Noah and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with him, into the ark;

14 They and every beast after its kind and all the cattle after their kind and every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth after its kind and every fowl after its kind, every bird of every sort.

15 They went with Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh in which there is the breath of life.

16 And they that entered, males and females of every living thing went in, as God had commanded him. Then the LORD shut him in.

17 And the flood lasted forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased and bore up the ark so that it was lifted up above the earth.

18 And the waters prevailed and rose higher upon the earth; and the ark floated on the face of the waters.

19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; so that all the high mountains under the whole heaven were covered.

20 Fifteen cubits above the mountains did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.

21 And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl and of cattle and of wild beast and of every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth and every man:

22 Everything in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was on the dry land, died.

23 And every living thing was destroyed that was upon the face of the ground, both man and animals and the creeping things and the fowl of the air; they were destroyed from the earth; and Noah only remained, and those who were with him in the ark.

24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth a hundred and fifty days.

1 THEN God said to Noah, Enter into the ark; you and all your household, for you alone have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

2 Із усякої чистої худоби візьмеш собі по семеро, самця та самицю її, а з худоби нечистої — двоє: самця та самицю її.

2 Of all clean animals you shall take with you seven pairs, both males and females; and of the beasts that are not clean two pairs, males and females.

3 Також із птаства небесного по семеро, самця та самицю, щоб насіння сховати живим на поверхні всієї землі.

3 Likewise, of the fowls of the air that are clean seven pairs, both males and the females; to keep their posterity alive upon the face of the earth.

4 Ось бо по семи днях Я литиму на землю дощ сорок день і сорок ночей, — і всяку істоту, яку Я вчинив, зітру з-над поверхні землі!“

4 For in seven days I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living thing that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.

5 І зробив Ной усе, як звелів був Господь.

5 And Noah did according to all that the LORD commanded him.

6 А Ной був віку шостисот літ, і стався пото́п, — вода на землі.

6 And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters came upon the earth.

7 І ввійшов Ной, і сини його, і жінка його, і невістки його з ним до ковчегу перед водою потопу.

7 And Noah, with his sons and his wife and his sons' wives, went into the ark because of the waters of the flood.

8 Із чистої худоби та з худоби, що нечиста вона, і з птаства, і всього, що плазує на землі,

8 Of clean animals, and of unclean animals, and of fowls, and of everything that creeps upon the earth,

9 по двоє ввійшли до Ноя до ковчегу, самець і самиця, як Бог Ноєві був ізвелів.

9 There went in two and two with Noah into the ark, the males and the females, as God had commanded Noah.

10 І сталося по семи днях, — і во́ди потопу лину́ли на землю.

10 And it came to pass after seven days that the waters of the flood came upon the earth.

11 Року шостої сотні літ життя Ноєвого, місяця другого, сімнадцятого дня місяця, — цього дня відкрилися всі джере́ла великої безодні, і розчинилися небесні розтвори.

11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that very day all the fountains of the great deep burst forth and the windows of heaven were opened.

12 І був дощ на землі сорок день і сорок ночей.

12 And the rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.

13 Того саме дня до ковчегу ввійшов Ной, і Сим, і Хам та Яфет, сини Ноєві, і жінка Ноєва, і три невістки його з ними,

13 On that same day entered Noah and Shem and Ham and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with him, into the ark;

14 вони та всяка звірина за родом її, і всяка худоба за родом її, і всяке плазуюче, що плазу́є по землі, за родом його, і всяке птаство за родом його, усяка пташка крилата.

14 They and every beast after its kind and all the cattle after their kind and every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth after its kind and every fowl after its kind, every bird of every sort.

15 І ввійшли до Ноя, до ковчегу по двоє із кожного тіла, що в нім дух життя.

15 They went with Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh in which there is the breath of life.

16 А те, що ввійшло, — самець і самиця з кожного тіла ввійшли, як звелів йому Бог. І замкнув Господь за ним ковчега.

16 And they that entered, males and females of every living thing went in, as God had commanded him. Then the LORD shut him in.

17 І був пото́п сорок день на землі, і збільшилась вода, і поне́сла ковчега. І він ви́соко став над землею.

17 And the flood lasted forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased and bore up the ark so that it was lifted up above the earth.

18 І прибула вода, і сильно збільши́лась вона на землі, — і пливав ковчег на поверхні води.

18 And the waters prevailed and rose higher upon the earth; and the ark floated on the face of the waters.

19 І дуже-дуже вода на землі прибула́, і покрились усі гори високі, що під небом усім.

19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; so that all the high mountains under the whole heaven were covered.

20 На п'ятнадцять ліктів уго́ру вода прибула, — і покрилися гори.

20 Fifteen cubits above the mountains did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.

21 І вимерло всяке тіло, що рухається на землі: серед птаства, і серед скотини, і серед звірини, і серед усіх плазунів, що плазують по землі, і кожна люди́на.

21 And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl and of cattle and of wild beast and of every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth and every man:

22 Усе, що в ніздрях його дух життя, з усього, що на суходолі — вимерло було.

22 Everything in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was on the dry land, died.

23 І винищив Бог усяку істоту на поверхні землі, від людини аж до скотини, аж до плазуна́, і аж до птаства небесного, — вони стерлись з землі. І зостався тільки Ной та те, що з ним у ковчезі було.

23 And every living thing was destroyed that was upon the face of the ground, both man and animals and the creeping things and the fowl of the air; they were destroyed from the earth; and Noah only remained, and those who were with him in the ark.

24 І прибувала вода на землі сто і п'ятдесят день.

24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth a hundred and fifty days.
