Розділ 3

1 Був один чоловік із фарисеїв Никоди́м на ім'я́, начальник юдейський.

2 Він до Нього прийшов уночі, та й промовив Йому: „Учителю, знаємо ми, що прийшов Ти від Бога, як Учитель, — бо не може ніхто таких чуд учинити, які чиниш Ти, коли Бог із ним не буде“.

3 Ісус відповів і до нього сказав: „Поправді, поправді кажу́ Я тобі: Коли хто не наро́диться згори́, то не може побачити Божого Царства“.

4 Никоди́м Йому каже: „Як може люди́на родитися, бувши старою? Хіба може вона ввійти до утро́би своїй матері зно́ву й родитись?“

5 Ісус відповів: „Поправді, поправді кажу́ Я тобі: Коли хто не ро́диться з води й Духа, той не може ввійти в Царство Боже.

6 Що вродилося з тіла — є тіло, що ж уродилося з Духа — є Дух.

7 Не дивуйся тому́, що сказав Я тобі: Вам необхі́дно родитись згори́.

8 Вітер віє, де хоче, і його голос ти чуєш, та не відаєш, звідкіля́ він приходить, і куди він іде. Так буває і з кожним, хто від Духа наро́джений“.

9 Відповів Никоди́м і до Нього сказав: „Як це статися може?“

10 Ісус відповів і до нього сказав: „Ти — учитель ізра́їльський, — то чи ж цього не знаєш?

11 Поправді, поправді кажу́ Я тобі: Ми говоримо те, що ми знаємо, а сві́дчимо про те, що́ ми бачили, але сві́дчення нашого ви не приймаєте.

12 Коли Я говорив вам про зе́мне, та не вірите ви, то я́к же повірите ви, коли Я говоритиму вам про небесне?

13 І не схо́див на небо ніхто, тільки Той, Хто з неба зійшов, — Людський Син, що на небі.

14 І, як Мойсей підні́с змі́я в пустині, так мусить піднесений бути й Син Лю́дський,

15 щоб кожен, хто вірує в Нього, мав вічне життя.

16 Так бо Бог полюбив світ, що дав Сина Свого Одноро́дженого, щоб кожен, хто вірує в Нього, не згинув, але мав життя вічне.

17 Бо Бог не послав Свого Сина на світ, щоб Він світ засуди́в, але щоб через Нього світ спасся.

18 Хто вірує в Нього, не буде засу́джений; хто ж не вірує, — той вже засуджений, що не повірив в Ім'я́ Одноро́дженого Сина Божого.

19 Суд же такий, що світло на світ прибуло́, люди ж те́мряву більш полюбили, як світло, — лихі бо були́ їхні вчинки!

20 Бо кожен, хто робить лихе, нена́видить світло, і не приходить до світла, щоб не зганено вчинків його.

21 А хто робить за правдою, той до світла йде, щоб діла його виявились, бо зроблені в Бозі вони“.

22 По цьому прийшов Ісус та учні Його до країни Юдейської, і з ними Він там проживав та христив.

23 А Іван теж христив в Ено́ні побли́зу Сали́му, бо було там багато води; і прихо́дили люди й христились,

24 бо Іван до в'язниці не був ще поса́джений.

25 І зчинилось змага́ння Іванових учнів з юдеями — про очи́щення.

26 І прийшли до Івана вони та й сказали йому: „Учителю, Той, Хто був із тобою по то́й бік Йорда́ну, про Якого ти свідчив, — ото христить і Він, і до Нього всі йдуть“.

27 Іван відповів і сказав: „Люди́на нічого приймати не може, як їй з неба не дасться.

28 Ви самі мені свідчите, що я говорив: я — не Христос, але по́сланий я перед Ним.

29 Хто має заручену, той молодий. А дружко́ молодого, що стоїть і його слухає, дуже тішиться з голосу молодого. Така радість моя оце здійснилась!

30 Він має рости, я ж — малі́ти.

31 Хто зве́рху приходить, — Той над усіма́. Хто походить із землі, то той зе́мний, і говорить по-зе́мному. Хто приходить із неба, Той над усіма́,

32 і що бачив і чув, те Він свідчить, — та свідо́цтва Його не приймає ніхто.

33 Хто ж прийняв свідо́цтво Його, той стверди́в тим, що Бог правдивий.

34 Бо Кого Бог послав, Той Божі слова́ промовляє, — бо Духа дає Бог без міри.

35 Отець любить Сина, і дав усе в Його руку.

36 Хто вірує в Сина, той має вічне життя; а хто в Сина не вірує, той життя не побачить — а гнів Божий на нім перебува́є“.

2 The same3778 came2064 to Jesus2424 by night,3571 and said2036 to him, Rabbi,4461 we know1492 that you are a teacher1320 come2064 from God:2316 for no3762 man3762 can1410 do4160 these5023 miracles4592 that you do,4160 except3362 God2316 be with him.

3 Jesus2424 answered611 and said2036 to him, Truly,281 truly,281 I say3004 to you, Except3362 a man5100 be born1080 again,509 he cannot3756 1410 see1492 the kingdom932 of God.2316

4 Nicodemus3530 said3004 to him, How4459 can1410 a man444 be born1080 when he is old?1088 can1410 he enter1525 the second1208 time1208 into1519 his mother's3384 womb,2836 and be born?1080

5 Jesus2424 answered,611 Truly,281 truly,281 I say3004 to you, Except3362 a man5100 be born1080 of water5204 and of the Spirit,4151 he cannot3756 1410 enter1525 into1519 the kingdom932 of God.2316

6 That which is born1080 of the flesh4561 is flesh;4561 and that which is born1080 of the Spirit4151 is spirit.4151

7 Marvel2296 not that I said2036 to you, You must1163 be born1080 again.509

8 The wind4151 blows4154 where3699 it wants,2309 and you hear191 the sound5456 thereof,846 but can1492 not tell1492 from where4159 it comes,2064 and where4226 it goes:5217 so3779 is every3956 one that is born1080 of the Spirit.4151

9 Nicodemus3530 answered611 and said2036 to him, How4459 can1410 these5023 things be?

10 Jesus2424 answered611 and said2036 to him, Are1488 you a master1320 of Israel,2474 and know1097 not these5023 things?

11 Truly,281 truly,281 I say3004 to you, We speak2980 that we do know,1492 and testify3140 that we have seen;3708 and you receive2983 not our witness.3141

12 If1487 I have told2036 you earthly1919 things, and you believe4100 not, how4459 shall you believe,4100 if1437 I tell2036 you of heavenly2032 things?

13 And no3762 man3762 has ascended305 up to heaven,3772 but he that came2597 down2597 from heaven,3772 even the Son5207 of man444 which3588 is in heaven.3772

14 And as Moses3475 lifted5312 up the serpent3789 in the wilderness,2048 even so3779 must1163 the Son5207 of man444 be lifted5312 up:

15 That whoever3956 3588 believes4100 in him should not perish,622 but have2192 eternal166 life.2222

16 For God2316 so3779 loved25 the world,2889 that he gave1325 his only3439 begotten3439 Son,5207 that whoever3956 3588 believes4100 in him should not perish,622 but have2192 everlasting166 life.2222

17 For God2316 sent649 not his Son5207 into1519 the world2889 to condemn2919 the world;2889 but that the world2889 through1223 him might be saved.4982

18 He that believes4100 on1519 him is not condemned:2919 but he that believes4100 not is condemned2919 already,2235 because3754 he has not believed4100 in the name3686 of the only3439 begotten3439 Son5207 of God.2316

19 And this3778 is the condemnation,2920 that light5457 is come2064 into1519 the world,2889 and men444 loved25 darkness4655 rather3123 than2228 light,5457 because1063 their deeds2041 were evil.4190

20 For every3956 one that does4160 evil5337 hates3404 the light,5457 neither2532 3756 comes2064 to the light,5457 lest2443 3361 his deeds2041 should be reproved.1651

21 But he that does4160 truth225 comes2064 to the light,5457 that his deeds2041 may be made5319 manifest,5319 that they are worked2038 in God.2316

22 After3326 these5023 things came2064 Jesus2424 and his disciples3101 into1519 the land1093 of Judaea;2449 and there1563 he tarried1304 with them, and baptized.907

23 And John2491 also2532 was baptizing907 in Aenon137 near1451 to Salim,4530 because3754 there was much4183 water5204 there:1563 and they came,3854 and were baptized.907

24 For John2491 was not yet3768 cast906 into1519 prison.5438

25 Then3767 there arose1096 a question2214 between1537 3326 some of John's2491 disciples3101 and the Jews2453 about4012 purifying.2512

26 And they came2064 to John,2491 and said2036 to him, Rabbi,4461 he that was with you beyond4008 Jordan,2446 to whom3739 you bore3140 witness,3140 behold,2396 the same3778 baptizes,907 and all3956 men come2064 to him.

27 John2491 answered611 and said,2036 A man444 can1410 receive2983 nothing,3762 except3362 it be given1325 him from heaven.3772

28 You yourselves5210 846 bear3140 me witness,3140 that I said,2036 I am1510 not the Christ,5547 but that I am1510 sent649 before1715 him.

29 He that has2192 the bride3565 is the bridegroom:3566 but the friend5384 of the bridegroom,3566 which3588 stands2476 and hears191 him, rejoices5463 greatly5479 because1223 of the bridegroom's3566 voice:5456 this3778 my joy5479 therefore3767 is fulfilled.4137

30 He must1163 increase,837 but I must decrease.1642

31 He that comes2064 from above509 is above1883 all:3956 he that is of the earth1093 is earthly,1537 3588 1093 and speaks2980 of the earth:1093 he that comes2064 from heaven3772 is above1883 all.3956

32 And what3739 he has seen3708 and heard,191 that he testifies;3140 and no3762 man3762 receives2983 his testimony.3141

33 He that has received2983 his testimony3141 has set4972 to his seal4972 that God2316 is true.227

34 For he whom3739 God2316 has sent649 speaks2980 the words4487 of God:2316 for God2316 gives1325 not the Spirit4151 by measure3358 to him.

35 The Father3962 loves25 the Son,5207 and has given1325 all3956 things into1722 his hand.5495

36 He that believes4100 on1519 the Son5207 has2192 everlasting166 life:2222 and he that believes544 not the Son5207 shall not see3700 life;2222 but the wrath3709 of God2316 stays3306 on1909 him.

12 Коли Я говорив вам про зе́мне, та не вірите ви, то я́к же повірите ви, коли Я говоритиму вам про небесне?

12 If1487 I have told2036 you earthly1919 things, and you believe4100 not, how4459 shall you believe,4100 if1437 I tell2036 you of heavenly2032 things?

13 І не схо́див на небо ніхто, тільки Той, Хто з неба зійшов, — Людський Син, що на небі.

17 Бо Бог не послав Свого Сина на світ, щоб Він світ засуди́в, але щоб через Нього світ спасся.

17 For God2316 sent649 not his Son5207 into1519 the world2889 to condemn2919 the world;2889 but that the world2889 through1223 him might be saved.4982

18 Хто вірує в Нього, не буде засу́джений; хто ж не вірує, — той вже засуджений, що не повірив в Ім'я́ Одноро́дженого Сина Божого.

18 He that believes4100 on1519 him is not condemned:2919 but he that believes4100 not is condemned2919 already,2235 because3754 he has not believed4100 in the name3686 of the only3439 begotten3439 Son5207 of God.2316

19 Суд же такий, що світло на світ прибуло́, люди ж те́мряву більш полюбили, як світло, — лихі бо були́ їхні вчинки!

19 And this3778 is the condemnation,2920 that light5457 is come2064 into1519 the world,2889 and men444 loved25 darkness4655 rather3123 than2228 light,5457 because1063 their deeds2041 were evil.4190

20 Бо кожен, хто робить лихе, нена́видить світло, і не приходить до світла, щоб не зганено вчинків його.

20 For every3956 one that does4160 evil5337 hates3404 the light,5457 neither2532 3756 comes2064 to the light,5457 lest2443 3361 his deeds2041 should be reproved.1651

21 А хто робить за правдою, той до світла йде, щоб діла його виявились, бо зроблені в Бозі вони“.

21 But he that does4160 truth225 comes2064 to the light,5457 that his deeds2041 may be made5319 manifest,5319 that they are worked2038 in God.2316

22 По цьому прийшов Ісус та учні Його до країни Юдейської, і з ними Він там проживав та христив.

24 бо Іван до в'язниці не був ще поса́джений.

27 Іван відповів і сказав: „Люди́на нічого приймати не може, як їй з неба не дасться.

27 John2491 answered611 and said,2036 A man444 can1410 receive2983 nothing,3762 except3362 it be given1325 him from heaven.3772

28 Ви самі мені свідчите, що я говорив: я — не Христос, але по́сланий я перед Ним.

28 You yourselves5210 846 bear3140 me witness,3140 that I said,2036 I am1510 not the Christ,5547 but that I am1510 sent649 before1715 him.

29 Хто має заручену, той молодий. А дружко́ молодого, що стоїть і його слухає, дуже тішиться з голосу молодого. Така радість моя оце здійснилась!

29 He that has2192 the bride3565 is the bridegroom:3566 but the friend5384 of the bridegroom,3566 which3588 stands2476 and hears191 him, rejoices5463 greatly5479 because1223 of the bridegroom's3566 voice:5456 this3778 my joy5479 therefore3767 is fulfilled.4137

30 Він має рости, я ж — малі́ти.

30 He must1163 increase,837 but I must decrease.1642

31 Хто зве́рху приходить, — Той над усіма́. Хто походить із землі, то той зе́мний, і говорить по-зе́мному. Хто приходить із неба, Той над усіма́,

32 і що бачив і чув, те Він свідчить, — та свідо́цтва Його не приймає ніхто.

33 Хто ж прийняв свідо́цтво Його, той стверди́в тим, що Бог правдивий.

33 He that has received2983 his testimony3141 has set4972 to his seal4972 that God2316 is true.227

34 Бо Кого Бог послав, Той Божі слова́ промовляє, — бо Духа дає Бог без міри.

35 Отець любить Сина, і дав усе в Його руку.
