Глава 20

1 Бен-Гадад, царь Сирийский, взял все свое войско, и тридцать два царя с собою, и коней, и колесницы, и пошел и осадил Самарию, и вел с нею войну.

2 И послал послов к Ахаву, царю Израилеву, в город.

3 И сказал ему: так говорит Бен-Гадад: серебро твое и золото твое должно быть мое, и жены твои и лучшие сыновья твои (мои будут) должны быть мои.

4 Израильский царь в ответ ему сказал: да будет по слову твоему, государь мой царь: я и все мое - твое.

5 Потом опять пришли послы и сказали: так говорит Бен-Гадад: я посылал к тебе сказать: серебро твое и золото твое, и золото твое и жен твоих и сыновей твоих отдай мне.

6 Потому я завтра в это же время пришлю к тебе рабов моих, чтоб они осмотрели твой дом, и домы служащих при тебе, и все дорогое для глаз твоих взяли бы себе в руки, и принесли мне.

7 Царь Израилев созвал всех старейшин земли и сказал: обдумайте и рассмотрите, верно он присылал ко мне требовать жен моих, и сыновей моих, и серебро мое, и золото мое, я ему в этом не отказал.

8 И сказали ему все старейшины и весь народ: не слушай и не соглашайся.

9 И потому он сказал послам Бен-Гадада: скажите государю моему царю, о чем ты присылал в первый раз к рабу твоему, то я готов сделать, а этого не могу сделать. И пошли послы, и отнесли ответ.

10 И прислал к нему Бен-Гадад сказать: пусть то и то сделают мне боги, то и то прибавят, если в Самарии найдется столько земли, чтобы всему народу, идущему вслед за мною, досталось по горсти!

11 В ответ на сие сказал царь Израилев: скажите ему: подпоясывающийся не хвались - так, как распоясывающийся.

12 Услышав сие слово (тогда он пил вместе с царями в палатках), он сказал рабам своим: становитесь по местам, и стали вокруг города.

13 И вот один пророк подошел к Ахаву, царю Израилеву, и сказал: так говорит Господь: видишь ли все это большое полчище? вот Я сегодня предам его в руку твою, чтобы ты знал, что Я Господь.

14 И сказал Ахав: через кого? Он сказал: так говорит Господь: через слуг областных начальников. И сказал: кто начнет сражение? он сказал: ты.

15 Он осмотрел слуг областных начальников, и нашлось их двести тридцать два; после них осмотрел весь народ, сынов Израилевых, и нашлось семь тысяч.

16 Они выступили в полдень (Бен-Гадад тогда сидел в палатках, напившись допьяна, вместе с царями; помощников у него было тридцать два царя).

17 И выступили прежде слуги областных начальников. Бен-Гадад послал, и ему донесли, что из Самарии выступают люди.

18 Он сказал: если они идут просить мира, схватите их живых; и если идут сразиться, живых же схватите их.

19 Вышли из города они, слуги областных начальников, и войско за ними.

20 И стали убивать человек человека. И побежали Сирияне. Израильтяне погнались за ними. А Бен-Гадад, царь Сирийский, уехал на коне с всадниками.

21 И вышел царь Израилев и побил коней и колесницы; большое убийство произвел он у Сириян.

22 И подошел пророк к царю Израилеву, и сказал ему: поди, крепко держи себя; обдумай и осмотри, что тебе делать, потому что, по прошествии года царь Сирийский опять пойдет против тебя.

23 Служащие при царе Сирийском сказали ему: Бог их есть Бог гор, потому они и одолели нас. Если же мы сразимся в равнине, то верно одолеем их.

24 И вот что сделай: удали царей каждого из их местопребывания, и вместо их поставь областеначальников.

25 И набери себе войска столько же, сколько было войска, потерянного тобою, и коней - сколько было коней, и колесниц - сколько было колесниц. И сразимся с ними на равнине, и тогда верно одолеем их. Он послушался их совета и сделал так.

26 По прошествии года, Бен-Гадад сделал смотр Сириянам и пошел к Афеку сразиться с Израилем.

27 И сынам Израилевым сделан смотр, и доставлено продовольствие, и они пошли навстречу им. И расположились сыны Израилевы станом пред ними, как два небольшие стада коз, а Сирияне заняли всю землю.

28 И подошел человек Божий и сказал царю Израилеву: так говорит Господь: за то, что Сирияне говорят: Господь есть Бог гор, а не Бог долин, Я все это большое полчище предам в руку твою, чтобы вы знали, что Я Господь.

29 И стояли станом одни против других семь дней. В седьмой день началась битва. И побили сыны Израилевы сто тысяч пеших Сириян в один день.

30 Остальные убежали в город Афек. Там упала стена и задавила остальных двадцать семь тысяч человек. А Бен-Гадад, убежав, ушел в город, во внутреннюю комнату одного дома.

31 И сказали ему служащие при нем: мы слышали, что цари дома Израилева - цари милостивые. Позволь нам возложить на чресла свои власяницы, и на голову свою веревки, и пойти к царю Израилеву, может быть, он оставит в живых душу твою.

32 И опоясали они чресла свои власяницами, и с веревками на головах своих пошли к царю Израилеву и сказали: раб твой Бен-Гадад говорит: оставь в живых душу мою. Он сказал: разве он жив? Он брат мой.

33 Люди сии были догадливы, и искусно дошли до уверенности, точно ли это его мысли, и сказали: да, Бен-Гадад брат твой. И сказал он: подите, возьмите его. И пришел к нему Бен-Гадад; он велел ему сесть с собою в коляску.

34 И сказал ему Бен-Гадад: города, которые взял мой отец у твоего отца, я возвращаю, и улицы имей для себя в Дамаске, так, как отец мой имел в Самарии. На сих условиях я отпускаю тебя, сказал Ахав. И, заключив с ним договор, отпустил его.

35 Тогда один человек из сынов пророческих сказал другому, по слову Господа: бей меня. Сей человек не согласился бить его.

36 И сказал ему: за то, что ты не послушал гласа Господа, убьет тебя лев, когда пойдешь от меня. Он пошел от него, и лев встретил его и убил его.

37 И нашел он другого человека и сказал: бей меня; сей человек бил его до того, что изранил побоями.

38 И пошел пророк и предстал пред царя на дороге, запылив глаза свои пылью, так что не похож был на себя.

39 Когда царь проезжал мимо, он закричал царю и сказал: раб твой ходил на сражение, и вот один человек, отошедши в сторону, подвел ко мне человека, и сказал: стереги этого человека; если его не станет, то твоя душа будет отвечать за его душу, или должен будешь отвесить талант серебра.

40 Когда раб твой занялся теми и другими делами, его не стало. И сказал ему царь Израилев: то тебе и приговор, ты сам решил.

41 Он тотчас стер с глаз своих пыль, и узнал его царь Израилев, что он из числа пророков.

42 И сказал ему: так говорит Господь: за то, что ты выпустил из руки человека, проклятого Мною, душа твоя будет вместо его души, и народ твой вместо его народа.

43 И поехал царь Израилев домой встревоженный и огорченный приехал в Самарию.

Chapter 20

1 And Ben-hadad1130 the king4428 of Syria758 gathered all his host together:6908 853 3605 2428 and there were thirty7970 and two8147 kings4428 with854 him, and horses,5483 and chariots:7393 and he went up5927 and besieged6696 5921 Samaria,8111 and warred3898 against it.

2 And he sent7971 messengers4397 to413 Ahab256 king4428 of Israel3478 into the city,5892 and said559 unto him, Thus3541 saith559 Ben-hadad,1130

3 Thy silver3701 and thy gold2091 is mine; thy wives802 also and thy children,1121 even the goodliest,2896 are mine.

4 And the king4428 of Israel3478 answered6030 and said,559 My lord,113 O king,4428 according to thy saying,1697 I589 am thine, and all3605 that834 I have.

5 And the messengers4397 came again,7725 and said,559 Thus3541 speaketh559 Ben-hadad,1130 saying,559 Although3588 I have sent7971 unto413 thee, saying,559 Thou shalt deliver5414 me thy silver,3701 and thy gold,2091 and thy wives,802 and thy children;1121

6 Yet3588 I will send7971 853 my servants5650 unto413 thee tomorrow4279 about518 this time,6256 and they shall search2664 853 thine house,1004 and the houses1004 of thy servants;5650 and it shall be,1961 that whatsoever3605 is pleasant4261 in thine eyes,5869 they shall put7760 it in their hand,3027 and take it away.3947

7 Then the king4428 of Israel3478 called7121 all3605 the elders2205 of the land,776 and said,559 Mark,3045 I pray you,4994 and see7200 how3588 this2088 man seeketh1245 mischief:7451 for3588 he sent7971 unto413 me for my wives,802 and for my children,1121 and for my silver,3701 and for my gold;2091 and I denied4513 4480 him not.3808

8 And all3605 the elders2205 and all3605 the people5971 said559 unto413 him, Hearken8085 not408 unto him, nor3808 consent.14

9 Wherefore he said559 unto the messengers4397 of Ben-hadad,1130 Tell559 my lord113 the king,4428 All3605 that834 thou didst send7971 for to413 thy servant5650 at the first7223 I will do:6213 but this2088 thing1697 I may3201 not3808 do.6213 And the messengers4397 departed,1980 and brought7725 him word1697 again.

10 And Ben-hadad1130 sent7971 unto413 him, and said,559 The gods430 do6213 so3541 unto me, and more3254 also,3541 if518 the dust6083 of Samaria8111 shall suffice5606 for handfuls8168 for all3605 the people5971 that834 follow7272 me.

11 And the king4428 of Israel3478 answered6030 and said,559 Tell1696 him, Let not408 him that girdeth2296 on his harness boast himself1984 as he that putteth it off.6605

12 And it came to pass,1961 when Ben-hadad heard8085 853 this2088 message,1697 as he1931 was drinking,8354 he1931 and the kings4428 in the pavilions,5521 that he said559 unto413 his servants,5650 Set7760 yourselves in array. And they set7760 themselves in array against5921 the city.5892

13 And, behold,2009 there came5066 a259 prophet5030 unto413 Ahab256 king4428 of Israel,3478 saying,559 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD,3068 Hast thou seen7200 853 all3605 this2088 great1419 multitude?1995 behold,2009 I will deliver5414 it into thine hand3027 this day;3117 and thou shalt know3045 that3588 I589 am the LORD.3068

14 And Ahab256 said,559 By whom?4310 And he said,559 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD,3068 Even by the young men5288 of the princes8269 of the provinces.4082 Then he said,559 Who4310 shall order631 the battle?4421 And he answered,559 Thou.859

15 Then he numbered6485 853 the young men5288 of the princes8269 of the provinces,4082 and they were1961 two hundred3967 and thirty7970 two:8147 and after310 them he numbered6485 853 all3605 the people,5971 even all3605 the children1121 of Israel,3478 being seven7651 thousand.505

16 And they went out3318 at noon.6672 But Ben-hadad1130 was drinking8354 himself drunk7910 in the pavilions,5521 he1931 and the kings,4428 the thirty7970 and two8147 kings4428 that helped5826 him.

17 And the young men5288 of the princes8269 of the provinces4082 went out3318 first;7223 and Ben-hadad1130 sent out,7971 and they told5046 him, saying,559 There are men376 come out3318 of Samaria.4480 8111

18 And he said,559 Whether518 they be come out3318 for peace,7965 take8610 them alive;2416 or whether518 they be come out3318 for war,4421 take8610 them alive.2416

19 So these428 young men5288 of the princes8269 of the provinces4082 came out3318 of4480 the city,5892 and the army2428 which834 followed310 them.

20 And they slew5221 every one376 his man:376 and the Syrians758 fled;5127 and Israel3478 pursued7291 them: and Ben-hadad1130 the king4428 of Syria758 escaped4422 on5921 a horse5483 with the horsemen.6571

21 And the king4428 of Israel3478 went out,3318 and smote5221 853 the horses5483 and chariots,7393 and slew5221 the Syrians758 with a great1419 slaughter.4347

22 And the prophet5030 came5066 to413 the king4428 of Israel,3478 and said559 unto him, Go,1980 strengthen thyself,2388 and mark,3045 and see7200 853 what834 thou doest:6213 for3588 at the return8666 of the year8141 the king4428 of Syria758 will come up5927 against5921 thee.

23 And the servants5650 of the king4428 of Syria758 said559 unto413 him, Their gods430 are gods430 of the hills;2022 therefore5921 3651 they were stronger2388 than4480 we; but199 let us fight3898 against854 them in the plain,4334 and surely,518 we shall be stronger3808 2388 than4480 they.

24 And do6213 this2088 thing,1697 Take the kings away,5493 4428 every man376 out of his place,4480 4725 and put7760 captains6346 in their rooms: 8478

25 And number859 4487 thee an army,2428 like the army2428 that thou hast lost,5307 4480 853 horse5483 for horse,5483 and chariot7393 for chariot:7393 and we will fight against3898 them in the plain,4334 and surely518 3808 we shall be stronger2388 than4480 they. And he hearkened8085 unto their voice,6963 and did6213 so.3651

26 And it came to pass1961 at the return8666 of the year,8141 that Ben-hadad1130 numbered6485 853 the Syrians,758 and went up5927 to Aphek,663 to fight4421 against5973 Israel.3478

27 And the children1121 of Israel3478 were numbered,6485 and were all present,3557 and went1980 against7121 them: and the children1121 of Israel3478 pitched2583 before5048 them like two8147 little flocks2835 of kids;5795 but the Syrians758 filled4390 853 the country.776

28 And there came5066 a man376 of God,430 and spoke559 unto413 the king4428 of Israel,3478 and said,559 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD,3068 Because3282 834 the Syrians758 have said,559 The LORD3068 is God430 of the hills,2022 but he1931 is not3808 God430 of the valleys,6010 therefore will I deliver5414 853 all3605 this2088 great1419 multitude1995 into thine hand,3027 and ye shall know3045 that3588 I589 am the LORD.3068

29 And they pitched2583 one428 over against5227 the other428 seven7651 days.3117 And so it was,1961 that in the seventh7637 day3117 the battle4421 was joined:7126 and the children1121 of Israel3478 slew5221 of853 the Syrians758 a hundred3967 thousand505 footmen7273 in one259 day.3117

30 But the rest3498 fled5127 to Aphek,663 into413 the city;5892 and there a wall2346 fell5307 upon5921 twenty6242 and seven7651 thousand505 of the men376 that were left.3498 And Ben-hadad1130 fled,5127 and came935 into413 the city,5892 into an inner chamber.2315 2315

31 And his servants5650 said559 unto413 him, Behold2009 now,4994 we have heard8085 that3588 the kings4428 of the house1004 of Israel3478 are merciful2617 kings:4428 let us, I pray thee,4994 put7760 sackcloth8242 on our loins,4975 and ropes2256 upon our heads,7218 and go out3318 to413 the king4428 of Israel:3478 peradventure194 he will save2421 853 thy life.5315

32 So they girded2296 sackcloth8242 on their loins,4975 and put ropes2256 on their heads,7218 and came935 to413 the king4428 of Israel,3478 and said,559 Thy servant5650 Ben-hadad1130 saith,559 I pray thee,4994 let me5315 live.2421 And he said,559 Is he yet5750 alive?2416 he1931 is my brother.251

33 Now the men376 did diligently observe5172 whether any thing would come from4480 him, and did hastily4116 catch2480 it: and they said,559 Thy brother251 Ben-hadad.1130 Then he said,559 Go935 ye, bring3947 him. Then Ben-hadad1130 came forth3318 to413 him; and he caused him to come up5927 into5921 the chariot.4818

34 And Ben-hadad said559 unto413 him, The cities,5892 which834 my father1 took3947 from4480 854 thy father,1 I will restore;7725 and thou shalt make7760 streets2351 for thee in Damascus,1834 as834 my father1 made7760 in Samaria.8111 Then said Ahab, I589 will send thee away7971 with this covenant.1285 So he made3772 a covenant1285 with him, and sent him away.7971

35 And a certain259 man376 of the sons4480 1121 of the prophets5030 said559 unto413 his neighbor7453 in the word1697 of the LORD,3068 Smite5221 me, I pray thee.4994 And the man376 refused3985 to smite5221 him.

36 Then said559 he unto him, Because3282 834 thou hast not3808 obeyed8085 the voice6963 of the LORD,3068 behold,2009 as soon as thou art departed1980 from4480 853 me, a lion738 shall slay5221 thee. And as soon as he was departed1980 from4480 681 him, a lion738 found4672 him, and slew5221 him.

37 Then he found4672 another312 man,376 and said,559 Smite5221 me, I pray thee.4994 And the man376 smote5221 him, so that in smiting5221 he wounded6481 him.

38 So the prophet5030 departed,1980 and waited5975 for the king4428 by5921 the way,1870 and disguised himself2664 with ashes666 upon5921 his face.5869

39 And as1961 the king4428 passed by,5674 he1931 cried6817 unto413 the king:4428 and he said,559 Thy servant5650 went out3318 into the midst7130 of the battle;4421 and, behold,2009 a man376 turned aside,5493 and brought935 a man376 unto413 me, and said,559 Keep8104 853 this2088 man:376 if518 by any means he be missing,6485 6485 then shall thy life5315 be1961 for8478 his life,5315 or176 else thou shalt pay8254 a talent3603 of silver.3701

40 And as thy servant5650 was1961 busy6213 here2008 and there,2008 he1931 was gone.369 And the king4428 of Israel3478 said559 unto413 him, So3651 shall thy judgment4941 be; thyself859 hast decided2782 it.

41 And he hasted,4116 and took5493 853 the ashes666 away from4480 5921 his face;5869 and the king4428 of Israel3478 discerned5234 him that3588 he1931 was of the prophets.4480 5030

42 And he said559 unto413 him, Thus3541 saith559 the LORD,3068 Because3282 thou hast let go7971 out of thy hand4480 3027 853 a man376 whom I appointed to utter destruction,2764 therefore thy life5315 shall go1961 for8478 his life,5315 and thy people5971 for8478 his people.5971

43 And the king4428 of Israel3478 went1980 to5921 his house1004 heavy5620 and displeased,2198 and came935 to Samaria.8111

3 И сказал ему: так говорит Бен-Гадад: серебро твое и золото твое должно быть мое, и жены твои и лучшие сыновья твои (мои будут) должны быть мои.

6 Потому я завтра в это же время пришлю к тебе рабов моих, чтоб они осмотрели твой дом, и домы служащих при тебе, и все дорогое для глаз твоих взяли бы себе в руки, и принесли мне.

6 Yet3588 I will send7971 853 my servants5650 unto413 thee tomorrow4279 about518 this time,6256 and they shall search2664 853 thine house,1004 and the houses1004 of thy servants;5650 and it shall be,1961 that whatsoever3605 is pleasant4261 in thine eyes,5869 they shall put7760 it in their hand,3027 and take it away.3947

7 Царь Израилев созвал всех старейшин земли и сказал: обдумайте и рассмотрите, верно он присылал ко мне требовать жен моих, и сыновей моих, и серебро мое, и золото мое, я ему в этом не отказал.

8 И сказали ему все старейшины и весь народ: не слушай и не соглашайся.

14 И сказал Ахав: через кого? Он сказал: так говорит Господь: через слуг областных начальников. И сказал: кто начнет сражение? он сказал: ты.

14 And Ahab256 said,559 By whom?4310 And he said,559 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD,3068 Even by the young men5288 of the princes8269 of the provinces.4082 Then he said,559 Who4310 shall order631 the battle?4421 And he answered,559 Thou.859

15 Он осмотрел слуг областных начальников, и нашлось их двести тридцать два; после них осмотрел весь народ, сынов Израилевых, и нашлось семь тысяч.

15 Then he numbered6485 853 the young men5288 of the princes8269 of the provinces,4082 and they were1961 two hundred3967 and thirty7970 two:8147 and after310 them he numbered6485 853 all3605 the people,5971 even all3605 the children1121 of Israel,3478 being seven7651 thousand.505

16 Они выступили в полдень (Бен-Гадад тогда сидел в палатках, напившись допьяна, вместе с царями; помощников у него было тридцать два царя).

16 And they went out3318 at noon.6672 But Ben-hadad1130 was drinking8354 himself drunk7910 in the pavilions,5521 he1931 and the kings,4428 the thirty7970 and two8147 kings4428 that helped5826 him.

17 И выступили прежде слуги областных начальников. Бен-Гадад послал, и ему донесли, что из Самарии выступают люди.

17 And the young men5288 of the princes8269 of the provinces4082 went out3318 first;7223 and Ben-hadad1130 sent out,7971 and they told5046 him, saying,559 There are men376 come out3318 of Samaria.4480 8111

18 Он сказал: если они идут просить мира, схватите их живых; и если идут сразиться, живых же схватите их.

18 And he said,559 Whether518 they be come out3318 for peace,7965 take8610 them alive;2416 or whether518 they be come out3318 for war,4421 take8610 them alive.2416

19 Вышли из города они, слуги областных начальников, и войско за ними.

19 So these428 young men5288 of the princes8269 of the provinces4082 came out3318 of4480 the city,5892 and the army2428 which834 followed310 them.

20 И стали убивать человек человека. И побежали Сирияне. Израильтяне погнались за ними. А Бен-Гадад, царь Сирийский, уехал на коне с всадниками.

20 And they slew5221 every one376 his man:376 and the Syrians758 fled;5127 and Israel3478 pursued7291 them: and Ben-hadad1130 the king4428 of Syria758 escaped4422 on5921 a horse5483 with the horsemen.6571

21 И вышел царь Израилев и побил коней и колесницы; большое убийство произвел он у Сириян.

21 And the king4428 of Israel3478 went out,3318 and smote5221 853 the horses5483 and chariots,7393 and slew5221 the Syrians758 with a great1419 slaughter.4347

22 И подошел пророк к царю Израилеву, и сказал ему: поди, крепко держи себя; обдумай и осмотри, что тебе делать, потому что, по прошествии года царь Сирийский опять пойдет против тебя.

22 And the prophet5030 came5066 to413 the king4428 of Israel,3478 and said559 unto him, Go,1980 strengthen thyself,2388 and mark,3045 and see7200 853 what834 thou doest:6213 for3588 at the return8666 of the year8141 the king4428 of Syria758 will come up5927 against5921 thee.

23 Служащие при царе Сирийском сказали ему: Бог их есть Бог гор, потому они и одолели нас. Если же мы сразимся в равнине, то верно одолеем их.

23 And the servants5650 of the king4428 of Syria758 said559 unto413 him, Their gods430 are gods430 of the hills;2022 therefore5921 3651 they were stronger2388 than4480 we; but199 let us fight3898 against854 them in the plain,4334 and surely,518 we shall be stronger3808 2388 than4480 they.

24 И вот что сделай: удали царей каждого из их местопребывания, и вместо их поставь областеначальников.

24 And do6213 this2088 thing,1697 Take the kings away,5493 4428 every man376 out of his place,4480 4725 and put7760 captains6346 in their rooms: 8478

25 И набери себе войска столько же, сколько было войска, потерянного тобою, и коней - сколько было коней, и колесниц - сколько было колесниц. И сразимся с ними на равнине, и тогда верно одолеем их. Он послушался их совета и сделал так.

25 And number859 4487 thee an army,2428 like the army2428 that thou hast lost,5307 4480 853 horse5483 for horse,5483 and chariot7393 for chariot:7393 and we will fight against3898 them in the plain,4334 and surely518 3808 we shall be stronger2388 than4480 they. And he hearkened8085 unto their voice,6963 and did6213 so.3651

26 По прошествии года, Бен-Гадад сделал смотр Сириянам и пошел к Афеку сразиться с Израилем.

26 And it came to pass1961 at the return8666 of the year,8141 that Ben-hadad1130 numbered6485 853 the Syrians,758 and went up5927 to Aphek,663 to fight4421 against5973 Israel.3478

27 И сынам Израилевым сделан смотр, и доставлено продовольствие, и они пошли навстречу им. И расположились сыны Израилевы станом пред ними, как два небольшие стада коз, а Сирияне заняли всю землю.

27 And the children1121 of Israel3478 were numbered,6485 and were all present,3557 and went1980 against7121 them: and the children1121 of Israel3478 pitched2583 before5048 them like two8147 little flocks2835 of kids;5795 but the Syrians758 filled4390 853 the country.776

28 И подошел человек Божий и сказал царю Израилеву: так говорит Господь: за то, что Сирияне говорят: Господь есть Бог гор, а не Бог долин, Я все это большое полчище предам в руку твою, чтобы вы знали, что Я Господь.

28 And there came5066 a man376 of God,430 and spoke559 unto413 the king4428 of Israel,3478 and said,559 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD,3068 Because3282 834 the Syrians758 have said,559 The LORD3068 is God430 of the hills,2022 but he1931 is not3808 God430 of the valleys,6010 therefore will I deliver5414 853 all3605 this2088 great1419 multitude1995 into thine hand,3027 and ye shall know3045 that3588 I589 am the LORD.3068

29 И стояли станом одни против других семь дней. В седьмой день началась битва. И побили сыны Израилевы сто тысяч пеших Сириян в один день.

29 And they pitched2583 one428 over against5227 the other428 seven7651 days.3117 And so it was,1961 that in the seventh7637 day3117 the battle4421 was joined:7126 and the children1121 of Israel3478 slew5221 of853 the Syrians758 a hundred3967 thousand505 footmen7273 in one259 day.3117

30 Остальные убежали в город Афек. Там упала стена и задавила остальных двадцать семь тысяч человек. А Бен-Гадад, убежав, ушел в город, во внутреннюю комнату одного дома.

30 But the rest3498 fled5127 to Aphek,663 into413 the city;5892 and there a wall2346 fell5307 upon5921 twenty6242 and seven7651 thousand505 of the men376 that were left.3498 And Ben-hadad1130 fled,5127 and came935 into413 the city,5892 into an inner chamber.2315 2315

31 И сказали ему служащие при нем: мы слышали, что цари дома Израилева - цари милостивые. Позволь нам возложить на чресла свои власяницы, и на голову свою веревки, и пойти к царю Израилеву, может быть, он оставит в живых душу твою.

31 And his servants5650 said559 unto413 him, Behold2009 now,4994 we have heard8085 that3588 the kings4428 of the house1004 of Israel3478 are merciful2617 kings:4428 let us, I pray thee,4994 put7760 sackcloth8242 on our loins,4975 and ropes2256 upon our heads,7218 and go out3318 to413 the king4428 of Israel:3478 peradventure194 he will save2421 853 thy life.5315

32 И опоясали они чресла свои власяницами, и с веревками на головах своих пошли к царю Израилеву и сказали: раб твой Бен-Гадад говорит: оставь в живых душу мою. Он сказал: разве он жив? Он брат мой.

32 So they girded2296 sackcloth8242 on their loins,4975 and put ropes2256 on their heads,7218 and came935 to413 the king4428 of Israel,3478 and said,559 Thy servant5650 Ben-hadad1130 saith,559 I pray thee,4994 let me5315 live.2421 And he said,559 Is he yet5750 alive?2416 he1931 is my brother.251

33 Люди сии были догадливы, и искусно дошли до уверенности, точно ли это его мысли, и сказали: да, Бен-Гадад брат твой. И сказал он: подите, возьмите его. И пришел к нему Бен-Гадад; он велел ему сесть с собою в коляску.

33 Now the men376 did diligently observe5172 whether any thing would come from4480 him, and did hastily4116 catch2480 it: and they said,559 Thy brother251 Ben-hadad.1130 Then he said,559 Go935 ye, bring3947 him. Then Ben-hadad1130 came forth3318 to413 him; and he caused him to come up5927 into5921 the chariot.4818

34 И сказал ему Бен-Гадад: города, которые взял мой отец у твоего отца, я возвращаю, и улицы имей для себя в Дамаске, так, как отец мой имел в Самарии. На сих условиях я отпускаю тебя, сказал Ахав. И, заключив с ним договор, отпустил его.

34 And Ben-hadad said559 unto413 him, The cities,5892 which834 my father1 took3947 from4480 854 thy father,1 I will restore;7725 and thou shalt make7760 streets2351 for thee in Damascus,1834 as834 my father1 made7760 in Samaria.8111 Then said Ahab, I589 will send thee away7971 with this covenant.1285 So he made3772 a covenant1285 with him, and sent him away.7971

35 Тогда один человек из сынов пророческих сказал другому, по слову Господа: бей меня. Сей человек не согласился бить его.

35 And a certain259 man376 of the sons4480 1121 of the prophets5030 said559 unto413 his neighbor7453 in the word1697 of the LORD,3068 Smite5221 me, I pray thee.4994 And the man376 refused3985 to smite5221 him.

36 И сказал ему: за то, что ты не послушал гласа Господа, убьет тебя лев, когда пойдешь от меня. Он пошел от него, и лев встретил его и убил его.

36 Then said559 he unto him, Because3282 834 thou hast not3808 obeyed8085 the voice6963 of the LORD,3068 behold,2009 as soon as thou art departed1980 from4480 853 me, a lion738 shall slay5221 thee. And as soon as he was departed1980 from4480 681 him, a lion738 found4672 him, and slew5221 him.

37 И нашел он другого человека и сказал: бей меня; сей человек бил его до того, что изранил побоями.

37 Then he found4672 another312 man,376 and said,559 Smite5221 me, I pray thee.4994 And the man376 smote5221 him, so that in smiting5221 he wounded6481 him.

38 И пошел пророк и предстал пред царя на дороге, запылив глаза свои пылью, так что не похож был на себя.

38 So the prophet5030 departed,1980 and waited5975 for the king4428 by5921 the way,1870 and disguised himself2664 with ashes666 upon5921 his face.5869

39 Когда царь проезжал мимо, он закричал царю и сказал: раб твой ходил на сражение, и вот один человек, отошедши в сторону, подвел ко мне человека, и сказал: стереги этого человека; если его не станет, то твоя душа будет отвечать за его душу, или должен будешь отвесить талант серебра.

39 And as1961 the king4428 passed by,5674 he1931 cried6817 unto413 the king:4428 and he said,559 Thy servant5650 went out3318 into the midst7130 of the battle;4421 and, behold,2009 a man376 turned aside,5493 and brought935 a man376 unto413 me, and said,559 Keep8104 853 this2088 man:376 if518 by any means he be missing,6485 6485 then shall thy life5315 be1961 for8478 his life,5315 or176 else thou shalt pay8254 a talent3603 of silver.3701

40 Когда раб твой занялся теми и другими делами, его не стало. И сказал ему царь Израилев: то тебе и приговор, ты сам решил.

40 And as thy servant5650 was1961 busy6213 here2008 and there,2008 he1931 was gone.369 And the king4428 of Israel3478 said559 unto413 him, So3651 shall thy judgment4941 be; thyself859 hast decided2782 it.

41 Он тотчас стер с глаз своих пыль, и узнал его царь Израилев, что он из числа пророков.

41 And he hasted,4116 and took5493 853 the ashes666 away from4480 5921 his face;5869 and the king4428 of Israel3478 discerned5234 him that3588 he1931 was of the prophets.4480 5030

42 И сказал ему: так говорит Господь: за то, что ты выпустил из руки человека, проклятого Мною, душа твоя будет вместо его души, и народ твой вместо его народа.

42 And he said559 unto413 him, Thus3541 saith559 the LORD,3068 Because3282 thou hast let go7971 out of thy hand4480 3027 853 a man376 whom I appointed to utter destruction,2764 therefore thy life5315 shall go1961 for8478 his life,5315 and thy people5971 for8478 his people.5971

43 И поехал царь Израилев домой встревоженный и огорченный приехал в Самарию.

43 And the king4428 of Israel3478 went1980 to5921 his house1004 heavy5620 and displeased,2198 and came935 to Samaria.8111
