Четвёртая хроника царств

Глава 1

1 После смерти Ахава Моав взбунтовался против Исраила.

2 Царь Охозия же упал через решётку своей верхней комнаты в Самарии и покалечился. Он отправил посланцев, сказав им: – Идите и спросите Баал-Зевува, . бога филистимского города Экрона: оправлюсь ли я от этих увечий?

3 Но Ангел Вечного сказал Ильясу из Тишбы: – Пойди навстречу посланцам царя Самарии и спроси их: «Разве в Исраиле нет Бога, что вы идёте спрашивать Баал-Зевува, бога Экрона?»

4 Итак, вот что говорит Вечный: «Ты не встанешь с постели, на которую лёг. Ты непременно умрёшь!»И Ильяс пошёл.

5 Посланцы же вернулись к царю, и он спросил их: – Почему вы вернулись?

6 – Нам навстречу вышел некий человек, – ответили они. – Он сказал нам: «Возвращайтесь к царю, который вас послал, и скажите ему: „Так говорит Вечный: Разве в Исраиле нет Бога, что ты посылаешь людей спрашивать Баал-Зевува, бога Экрона? Итак, ты не встанешь с постели, на которую лёг. Ты непременно умрёшь!“»

7 Царь спросил их: – Как выглядел тот человек, который вышел вам навстречу и сказал это?

8 Они ответили: – Он был одет в шкуры, с кожаным поясом на бёдрах. Царь сказал: – Это Ильяс из Тишбы.

9 И он послал к Ильясу командира с его пятьюдесятью воинами. Тот поднялся к Ильясу, который сидел на вершине холма, и сказал ему: – Пророк, царь говорит: «Спустись!»

10 Но Ильяс ответил ему: – Если я пророк, пусть огонь сойдёт с неба и пожрёт тебя и твоих людей! И огонь, сойдя с неба, пожрал его и пятьдесят его воинов.

11 Тогда царь послал к Ильясу другого пятидесятника с его людьми. Тот сказал Ильясу: – Пророк, так говорит царь: «Немедленно спустись!»

12 – Если я пророк, – ответил Ильяс, – пусть огонь сойдёт с неба и пожрёт тебя и твоих людей! И огонь Всевышнего, сойдя с неба, пожрал его и пятьдесят его воинов.

13 Тогда царь послал третьего пятидесятника с его людьми. Этот командир поднялся и пал на колени перед Ильясом. – Пророк, – взмолился он, – прошу, пощади мою жизнь и жизнь этих пятидесяти воинов, твоих рабов!

14 Ведь огонь, сошедший с небес, пожрал двух первых пятидесятников и их воинов. Но пощади мою жизнь и жизнь моих людей!

15 Ангел Вечного сказал Ильясу: – Спустись с ним, не бойся его. Тогда Ильяс встал и спустился с ним к царю.

16 Он сказал царю: – Так говорит Вечный: «Разве в Исраиле нет Бога, чтобы спрашивать Его? Ты отправлял посланцев спрашивать Баал-Зевува, бога Экрона! За это ты не встанешь с постели, на которую лёг. Ты непременно умрёшь!»

17 И он умер, по слову Вечного, которое произнёс Ильяс. Так как у Охозии не было сына, вместо него на втором году правления иудейского царя Иорама, сына Иосафата, воцарился его брат Иорам.

18 Прочие события царствования Охозии и то, что он сделал, записано в «Книге летописей царей Исраила».

2 Kings

Chapter 1

1 Then Moab4124 rebelled6586 against Israel3478 after310 the death4194 of Ahab.256

2 And Ahaziah274 fell5307 down through1157 a lattice7639 in his upper5944 chamber5944 that was in Samaria,8111 and was sick:2470 and he sent7971 messengers,4397 and said559 to them, Go,3212 inquire1875 of Baalzebub1176 the god430 of Ekron6138 whether518 I shall recover2421 of this2088 disease.2483

3 But the angel4397 of the LORD3068 said1696 to Elijah452 the Tishbite,8664 Arise,6965 go5927 up to meet7125 the messengers4397 of the king4428 of Samaria,8111 and say1696 to them, Is it not because there is not a God430 in Israel,3478 that you go1980 to inquire1875 of Baalzebub1176 the god430 of Ekron?6138

4 Now therefore3651 thus3541 said559 the LORD,3068 You shall not come3381 down3381 from that bed4296 on which834 you are gone5927 up, but shall surely3588 die.4191 And Elijah452 departed.3212

5 And when the messengers4397 turned7725 back7725 to him, he said559 to them, Why4100 are you now2088 turned7725 back?7725

6 And they said559 to him, There came5927 a man376 up to meet7125 us, and said559 to us, Go,3212 turn7725 again7725 to the king4428 that sent7971 you, and say1696 to him, Thus3541 said559 the LORD,3068 Is it not because there is not a God430 in Israel,3478 that you send7971 to inquire1875 of Baalzebub1176 the god430 of Ekron?6138 therefore3651 you shall not come3381 down3381 from that bed4296 on which834 you are gone5927 up, but shall surely3588 die.4191

7 And he said1696 to them, What4100 manner4941 of man376 was he which834 came5927 up to meet7125 you, and told1696 you these428 words?1697

8 And they answered559 him, He was an hairy1167 8181 man,376 and girt247 with a girdle232 of leather5785 about his loins.4975 And he said,559 It is Elijah452 the Tishbite.8664

9 Then the king4428 sent7971 to him a captain8269 of fifty2572 with his fifty.2572 And he went5927 up to him: and, behold,2009 he sat3427 on5921 the top7218 of an hill.2022 And he spoke1696 to him, You man376 of God,430 the king4428 has said,1696 Come3381 down.3381

10 And Elijah452 answered6030 and said1696 to the captain8269 of fifty,2572 If518 I be a man376 of God,430 then let fire784 come3381 down3381 from heaven,8064 and consume398 you and your fifty.2572 And there came3381 down3381 fire784 from heaven,8064 and consumed398 him and his fifty.2572

11 Again7725 also he sent7971 to him another312 captain8269 of fifty2572 with his fifty.2572 And he answered6030 and said1696 to him, O man376 of God,430 thus3541 has the king4428 said,559 Come3381 down3381 quickly.4120

12 And Elijah452 answered6030 and said1696 to them, If518 I be a man376 of God,430 let fire784 come3381 down3381 from heaven,8064 and consume398 you and your fifty.2572 And the fire784 of God430 came3381 down3381 from heaven,8064 and consumed398 him and his fifty.2572

13 And he sent7971 again7725 a captain8269 of the third7992 fifty2572 with his fifty.2572 And the third7992 captain8269 of fifty2572 went5927 up, and came935 and fell3766 on5921 his knees1290 before5048 Elijah,452 and sought2603 him, and said1696 to him, O man376 of God,430 I pray4994 you, let my life,5315 and the life5315 of these428 fifty2572 your servants,5650 be precious3365 in your sight.5869

14 Behold,2009 there came3381 fire784 down3381 from heaven,8064 and burnt398 up the two8147 captains8269 of the former7223 fifties2572 with their fifties:2572 therefore let my life5315 now6258 be precious3365 in your sight.5869

15 And the angel4397 of the LORD3068 said1696 to Elijah,452 Go3381 down3381 with him: be not afraid3372 of him. And he arose,6965 and went3381 down3381 with him to the king.4428

16 And he said1696 to him, Thus3541 said559 the LORD,3068 For as much3282 834 as you have sent7971 messengers4397 to inquire1875 of Baalzebub1176 the god430 of Ekron,6138 is it not because there is no369 God430 in Israel3478 to inquire1875 of his word?1697 therefore you shall not come3381 down3381 off that bed4296 on which834 you are gone5927 up, but shall surely3588 die.4191

17 So he died4191 according to the word1697 of the LORD3068 which834 Elijah452 had spoken.1696 And Jehoram3088 reigned4427 in his stead8478 in the second8147 year8141 of Jehoram3088 the son1121 of Jehoshaphat3092 king4428 of Judah;3063 because3588 he had1961 no3808 son.1121

18 Now the rest3499 of the acts1697 of Ahaziah274 which834 he did,6213 are they not written3789 in the book5612 of the chronicles1697 3117 of the kings4428 of Israel?3478

4 Итак, вот что говорит Вечный: «Ты не встанешь с постели, на которую лёг. Ты непременно умрёшь!»И Ильяс пошёл.

5 Посланцы же вернулись к царю, и он спросил их: – Почему вы вернулись?

6 – Нам навстречу вышел некий человек, – ответили они. – Он сказал нам: «Возвращайтесь к царю, который вас послал, и скажите ему: „Так говорит Вечный: Разве в Исраиле нет Бога, что ты посылаешь людей спрашивать Баал-Зевува, бога Экрона? Итак, ты не встанешь с постели, на которую лёг. Ты непременно умрёшь!“»

6 And they said559 to him, There came5927 a man376 up to meet7125 us, and said559 to us, Go,3212 turn7725 again7725 to the king4428 that sent7971 you, and say1696 to him, Thus3541 said559 the LORD,3068 Is it not because there is not a God430 in Israel,3478 that you send7971 to inquire1875 of Baalzebub1176 the god430 of Ekron?6138 therefore3651 you shall not come3381 down3381 from that bed4296 on which834 you are gone5927 up, but shall surely3588 die.4191

7 Царь спросил их: – Как выглядел тот человек, который вышел вам навстречу и сказал это?

10 Но Ильяс ответил ему: – Если я пророк, пусть огонь сойдёт с неба и пожрёт тебя и твоих людей! И огонь, сойдя с неба, пожрал его и пятьдесят его воинов.

11 Тогда царь послал к Ильясу другого пятидесятника с его людьми. Тот сказал Ильясу: – Пророк, так говорит царь: «Немедленно спустись!»
