Глава 21

1 Слово, которое было Иеремии от ГОСПОДА, когда царь Седекия послал к нему Пашхура, сына Малкии, и священника Цфанию, сына Маасеи, с такой просьбой:

2 «Вопроси ГОСПОДА о нас, ибо идет на нас войной Навуходоносор, царь Вавилона. Не совершит ли ГОСПОДЬ и ныне, как прежде, чудо ради нас, чтобы Навуходоносор отступил от Иерусалима?»

3 Иеремия ответил им:

4 «Скажите Седекии: „Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ, Бог Израиля: „Я поверну против вас ваши орудия войны, которыми вы сражаетесь против царя вавилонского и против халдеев, осаждающих ваши городские стены, и введу их всех в этот город.

5 Я Сам буду сражаться против вас в могуществе Своем, рукой Своей простертой, в гневе, ярости и великом негодовании.

6 Я уничтожу всех живущих в этом городе — и людей, и скот; от страшного морового поветрия они умрут.

7 А после этого, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — Седекию, царя иудейского, и его вельмож, и народ, и всех, кто не погиб в этом городе от морового поветрия, меча и голода, Я предам в руки Навуходоносора, царя вавилонского, и в руки врагов, жаждущих их смерти. Убьет их мечом Навуходоносор и не сжалится над ними, не помилует их, не пощадит“.

8 А народу этому скажи: „Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ: „Я проложу перед вами дорогу жизни и дорогу смерти.

9 Тот, кто останется в этом городе, умрет от меча, голода и морового поветрия, а тот, кто выйдет и сдастся халдеям, осаждающим вас, не погибнет — только жизнь достанется ему в награду.

10 Ибо суд Свой Я свершил над этим городом не во благо ему, а на беду, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — будет он предан в руки царя вавилонского, и тот сожжет его дотла““.

11 А царю иудейскому и его домочадцам скажи: „Слушай слово ГОСПОДНЕ,

12 род Давидов, так говорит ГОСПОДЬ: „С утра до вечера правый суд вершите, защищайте угнетенного от руки притеснителя, чтобы не воспылал гнев Мой, как пламя, и не разгорелся из-за злодеяний ваших огнем неугасимым.

13 Я иду против тебя, воцарившейся в долине, против скалы средь равнины! — это слово ГОСПОДНЕ. — Против тех иду, которые говорят: „Кто осмелится пойти на нас, кто захватит жилища наши?“

14 Я воздам вам по делам вашим, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — Я подожгу чертог из леса ливанского, и огонь поглотит всё вокруг“».

2 Inquire,1875 I pray thee,4994 of853 the LORD3068 for1157 us; for3588 Nebuchadnezzar5019 king4428 of Babylon894 maketh war3898 against5921 us; if so be194 that the LORD3068 will deal6213 with854 us according to all3605 his wondrous works,6381 that he may go up5927 from4480 5921 us.

3 Then said559 Jeremiah3414 unto413 them, Thus3541 shall ye say559 to413 Zedekiah: 6667

4 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 God430 of Israel;3478 Behold,2009 I will turn back5437 853 the weapons3627 of war4421 that834 are in your hands,3027 wherewith834 ye859 fight3898 against853 the king4428 of Babylon,894 and against the Chaldeans,3778 which besiege6696 5921 you without4480 2351 the walls,2346 and I will assemble622 them into413 the midst8432 of this2063 city.5892

5 And I myself589 will fight3898 against854 you with an outstretched5186 hand3027 and with a strong2389 arm,2220 even in anger,639 and in fury,2534 and in great1419 wrath.7110

6 And I will smite5221 853 the inhabitants3427 of this2063 city,5892 both man120 and beast:929 they shall die4191 of a great1419 pestilence.1698

7 And afterward,310 3651 saith5002 the LORD,3068 I will deliver5414 853 Zedekiah6667 king4428 of Judah,3063 and his servants,5650 and the people,5971 and such as are left7604 in this2063 city5892 from4480 the pestilence,1698 from4480 the sword,2719 and from4480 the famine,7458 into the hand3027 of Nebuchadnezzar5019 king4428 of Babylon,894 and into the hand3027 of their enemies,341 and into the hand3027 of those that seek1245 their life:5315 and he shall smite5221 them with the edge6310 of the sword;2719 he shall not3808 spare2347 5921 them, neither3808 have pity,2550 nor3808 have mercy.7355

8 And unto413 this2088 people5971 thou shalt say,559 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD;3068 Behold,2009 I set5414 before6440 you853 the way1870 of life,2416 and the way1870 of death.4194

9 He that abideth3427 in this2063 city5892 shall die4191 by the sword,2719 and by the famine,7458 and by the pestilence:1698 but he that goeth out,3318 and falleth5307 to5921 the Chaldeans3778 that besiege6696 5921 you, he shall live,2421 and his life5315 shall be1961 unto him for a prey.7998

10 For3588 I have set7760 my face6440 against this2063 city5892 for evil,7451 and not3808 for good,2896 saith5002 the LORD:3068 it shall be given5414 into the hand3027 of the king4428 of Babylon,894 and he shall burn8313 it with fire.784

11 And touching the house1004 of the king4428 of Judah,3063 say, Hear8085 ye the word1697 of the LORD;3068

12 O house1004 of David,1732 thus3541 saith559 the LORD;3068 Execute1777 judgment4941 in the morning,1242 and deliver5337 him that is spoiled1497 out of the hand4480 3027 of the oppressor,6231 lest6435 my fury2534 go out3318 like fire,784 and burn1197 that none369 can quench3518 it, because4480 6440 of the evil7455 of your doings.4611

13 Behold,2009 I am against413 thee, O inhabitant3427 of the valley,6010 and rock6697 of the plain,4334 saith5002 the LORD;3068 which say,559 Who4310 shall come down5181 against5921 us? or who4310 shall enter935 into our habitations?4585

14 But I will punish6485 5921 you according to the fruit6529 of your doings,4611 saith5002 the LORD:3068 and I will kindle3341 a fire784 in the forest3293 thereof, and it shall devour398 all things3605 round about5439 it.

4 «Скажите Седекии: „Так говорит ГОСПОДЬ, Бог Израиля: „Я поверну против вас ваши орудия войны, которыми вы сражаетесь против царя вавилонского и против халдеев, осаждающих ваши городские стены, и введу их всех в этот город.

4 Thus3541 saith559 the LORD3068 God430 of Israel;3478 Behold,2009 I will turn back5437 853 the weapons3627 of war4421 that834 are in your hands,3027 wherewith834 ye859 fight3898 against853 the king4428 of Babylon,894 and against the Chaldeans,3778 which besiege6696 5921 you without4480 2351 the walls,2346 and I will assemble622 them into413 the midst8432 of this2063 city.5892

5 Я Сам буду сражаться против вас в могуществе Своем, рукой Своей простертой, в гневе, ярости и великом негодовании.

10 Ибо суд Свой Я свершил над этим городом не во благо ему, а на беду, — говорит ГОСПОДЬ, — будет он предан в руки царя вавилонского, и тот сожжет его дотла““.

11 А царю иудейскому и его домочадцам скажи: „Слушай слово ГОСПОДНЕ,

13 Я иду против тебя, воцарившейся в долине, против скалы средь равнины! — это слово ГОСПОДНЕ. — Против тех иду, которые говорят: „Кто осмелится пойти на нас, кто захватит жилища наши?“
