Chapter 1

1 JUDE, the servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to the Gentiles who have been called, and are beloved by God the Father, and are protected by Jesus Christ,

2 Mercy, and peace, with love, be multiplied unto you.

3 My beloved, I write to you with all diligence concerning our common salvation, and it is needful that I write and exhort you also to earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered to the saints.

4 For certain men have falsely entered among you, and these were foreordained from the very beginning to this condemnation; they are ungodly men, turning the grace of God into lasciviousness, and denying the only LORD God, and our LORD Jesus Christ.

5 I will, therefore, remind you, though you once knew this, that God, having redeemed and saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.

6 And the angels that did not keep their first estate but left their own habitation, he has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbouring cities which in like manner gave themselves over to fornication, and followed after other carnal lusts, are condemned to judgment and placed under everlasting fire;

8 Likewise also, these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise authority, and blaspheme against the glory.

9 Yet Michael, the archangel, when contending with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring railing accusation against him, but said, The LORD rebuke thee.

10 But these men blaspheme against those things about which they do not know: and what they know naturally as dumb beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and have perished in the rebellion of Korah.

12 These people are those who lead a wasteful, feasting life and are blemished; they do not shepherd themselves in reverence; they are clouds without rain, driven by winds; trees whose blossoms have withered, without fruit; having died a second time, pulled up by the roots;

13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the LORD cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

15 To execute judgment upon all, and to punish all who are ungodly for all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and for all the harsh words which the ungodly sinners have spoken. *

16 These are the ones who murmur and complain, following after their own lusts, and their mouths speak idle flattering words, praising people for the sake of gain.

17 But you, my beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our LORD Jesus Christ;

18 How they told you there will be mockers until the end of time, and they will always follow their own ungodly lusts.

19 These are those who prefer to associate with selfish people because they do not have the Spirit in them.

20 But you, my beloved, build up yourselves anew in the holy faith through the Holy Spirit, by means of prayer.

21 Keep ourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our LORD Jesus Christ and for the life which is ours forever.

22 And on some of them whoever they may be, heap coals of fire:

23 And when they repent, have mercy on them with compassion; despise even a garment which is spotted with the things of the flesh.

24 Now unto him who is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

25 To the only God our Saviour, through Jesus Christ our LORD, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and for ever, Amen.

Глава 1

1 Иуда, Иисуса Христа раб, брат Иакова, — тем, кто призван, кто возлюблен Богом Отцом и храним Иисусом Христом:

2 милость, мир и любовь да будут всё более и более даруемы вам.

3 Возлюбленные мои, вознамерившись написать вам про общее наше спасение, я счел необходимым этим письмом поддержать вас в готовности подвизаться за веру, раз и навсегда дарованную народу Божьему, дабы блюсти ее.

4 В ваш круг проникли некоторые люди, об участи которых давно уже написано. Нечестивцы, они вкривь и вкось толкуют благодать Бога нашего, чтобы оправдать свое распутство, и отвергают единого Владыку Бога и Господа нашего Иисуса Христа.

5 Я же хочу напомнить вам, хотя [вы] и сами всё это знаете, что Господь, выведя некогда народ израильский из Египта, тех, кто не верил, обрек впоследствии на погибель.

6 И ангелов, потерявших свое достоинство и власть, оставивших небесное свое жилище, Он содержит в узах вечных, содержит во мраке, на день Великого Суда.

7 Или вспомните Содом и Гоморру вместе с окрестными городами, в которых люди также предавались блуду и извращениям, они вечным наказаны огнем и служат для всех предостережением.

8 Подобным же образом и нынешние ваши обольстители своим бредом оскверняют себя, не признают власти Господа и поносят силы невидимые.

9 А ведь даже архангел Михаил, когда спорил с дьяволом о теле Моисея, не позволил себе злословить и осуждать его, но сказал лишь: «Господь пусть будет тебе судьей!»

10 Они же хулят то, чего не понимают, а если что по природе своей и знают, подобно животным, не имеющим разумения человеческого, тем себя растлевают.

11 Горе им! Путем Каина пошли они, корысти ради, как Валаам, погрязли в заблуждениях и, восстав, как Корей, на гибель обрекли себя.

12 В них тайная угроза вашим вечерям любви: только поесть приходят они к вам, не стыдясь о себе лишь заботиться. Это тучи бездождные, ветром носимые; деревья осенние без плода, выкорчеванные — дважды умерли они.

13 Это бурные волны морские, срамотами своими пенящиеся; это звезды блуждающие, которым навеки уготована глубокая тьма.

14 О них пророчествовал еще Енох, седьмой от Адама, говоря: «Вот грядет Господь со святым воинством Своим,

15 чтобы совершить суд над всеми и изобличить нечестивцев во всех их делах беззаконных, которые они безбожно творили, и во всех дерзких словах, которые эти нечестивые грешники говорили против Него».

16 Вечно ропщущие, всегда и всем недовольные, они идут на поводу у похотей своих. Уста их говорят слова надменные, и ради выгоды они готовы льстить другим.

17 А вам, возлюбленные мои, надо помнить слова, сказанные апостолами Господа нашего Иисуса Христа.

18 «В последние времена, — говорили они, — появятся насмешники злобные, потакающие своим нечестивым страстям».

19 Таковые всюду расколы производят, они живут естеством своим — Дух в них не пребывает.

20 Вы же, возлюбленные мои, постоянно должны возрастать в святейшей вере вашей, молясь во Святом Духе,

21 и всегда должны пребывать в любви Божией, ожидая, что Господь наш Иисус Христос по милости Своей даст вам жизнь вечную.

22 Будьте милостивы к тем, кто колеблется;

23 других спасайте, вырывая прямо из огня; с иными, однако, и в самом сострадании своем будьте осмотрительны, гнушаясь даже одеждой, оскверненной их телами.

24 Тому же, Кто может спасти вас от падения и поставить перед славой Своей непорочными и торжествующими,

25 единому Богу, Спасителю нашему, через Иисуса Христа, Господа нашего, — слава и величие, сила и власть прежде всех веков, ныне и вовеки. Аминь.

Нечестивцы, они вкривь и вкось толкуют благодать Бога нашего, чтобы оправдать свое распутство, и отвергают единого Владыку Бога и Господа нашего Иисуса Христа.

8 Likewise also, these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise authority, and blaspheme against the glory.	8 Подобным же образом и нынешние ваши обольстители своим бредом оскверняют себя, не признают власти Господа и поносят силы невидимые.

Это тучи бездождные, ветром носимые; деревья осенние без плода, выкорчеванные — дважды умерли они.
13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.	13 Это бурные волны морские, срамотами своими пенящиеся; это звезды блуждающие, которым навеки уготована глубокая тьма.

15 To execute judgment upon all, and to punish all who are ungodly for all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and for all the harsh words which the ungodly sinners have spoken. *	15 чтобы совершить суд над всеми и изобличить нечестивцев во всех их делах беззаконных, которые они безбожно творили, и во всех дерзких словах, которые эти нечестивые грешники говорили против Него».

Уста их говорят слова надменные, и ради выгоды они готовы льстить другим.
17 But you, my beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our LORD Jesus Christ;	17 А вам, возлюбленные мои, надо помнить слова, сказанные апостолами Господа нашего Иисуса Христа.
18 How they told you there will be mockers until the end of time, and they will always follow their own ungodly lusts.	18 «В последние времена, — говорили они, — появятся насмешники злобные, потакающие своим нечестивым страстям».

20 But you, my beloved, build up yourselves anew in the holy faith through the Holy Spirit, by means of prayer.	20 Вы же, возлюбленные мои, постоянно должны возрастать в святейшей вере вашей, молясь во Святом Духе,
21 Keep ourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our LORD Jesus Christ and for the life which is ours forever.	21 и всегда должны пребывать в любви Божией, ожидая, что Господь наш Иисус Христос по милости Своей даст вам жизнь вечную.
22 And on some of them whoever they may be, heap coals of fire:	22 Будьте милостивы к тем, кто колеблется;
23 And when they repent, have mercy on them with compassion; despise even a garment which is spotted with the things of the flesh.	23 других спасайте, вырывая прямо из огня; с иными, однако, и в самом сострадании своем будьте осмотрительны, гнушаясь даже одеждой, оскверненной их телами.
