2 Господь — ревнивый и мстительный Бог; Господь мстительный и гневливый. Господь мстит Своим врагам и хранит гнев против Своих врагов.

3 Господь долготерпелив и велик в Своем могуществе; Господь не оставит виновных без наказания. Его шествие — в буре и вихре, облака — пыль от Его ног.

4 He rebukes1605 the sea,3220 and makes it dry,3001 and dries2717 up all3605 the rivers:5104 Bashan1316 languishes,535 and Carmel,3760 and the flower6525 of Lebanon3844 languishes.535

6 Кто устоит перед Его негодованием? Кто сможет выдержать Его пылающий гнев? Подобно огню разливается Его гнев, скалы рассыпаются перед Ним.

7 Господь благ, Он — убежище в дни бедствий. Он заботится о тех, кто в Нем ищет прибежища,

8 но всепотопляющим наводнением Он разрушит Ниневию до основания; мрак настигнет Его врагов.

9 Что бы вы ни замышляли против Господа, Он истребит вас до конца, и бедствие уже не повторится.

10 For while5704 they be entwined5440 together as thorns,5518 and while they are drunken5435 as drunkards,5435 they shall be devoured398 as stubble7179 fully4390 dry.3002

10 Они запутаются в терновнике и будут пьяны от вина, они будут уничтожены, как сухое жнивье.

11 Из тебя, Ниневия, вышел тот, кто замышляет злое против Господа, кто советует беззаконное.

12 Thus3541 said559 the LORD;3068 Though518 they be quiet,8003 and likewise3651 many,7227 yet thus3651 shall they be cut1494 down, when he shall pass5674 through. Though I have afflicted6031 you, I will afflict6031 you no3808 more.5750

12 Так говорит Господь: — Хотя у них есть союзники и их великое множество, они будут уничтожены и исчезнут, а тебя, Иудея, раньше Я отягощал, но впредь уже не стану.

13 For now6258 will I break7665 his yoke4132 from off5921 you, and will burst5423 your bonds4147 in sunder.

13 И теперь Я сокрушу их ярмо, что на твоей шее, и разорву твои оковы.

14 And the LORD3068 has given a commandment6680 concerning5921 you, that no3808 more5750 of your name8034 be sown:2232 out of the house1004 of your gods430 will I cut3772 off the graven6459 image6755 and the molten4541 image:6755 I will make7760 your grave;6913 for you are vile.7043

14 Господь дал следующее повеление о тебе, Ниневия: — Не станет у тебя потомков, носящих твое имя. Я разрушу твоих идолов и уничтожу истуканы, что находятся в храмах твоих богов. Я приготовлю тебе могилу, потому что ты презираема.

15 Behold2009 on the mountains2022 the feet7272 of him that brings1319 good1319 tidings,1319 that publishes8085 peace!7965 O Judah,3063 keep2287 your solemn2282 feasts,2282 perform7999 your vows:5088 for the wicked1100 shall no3808 more3254 5750 pass5674 through you; he is utterly3605 cut3772 off.

15 Смотри, идет по горам гонец, несущий радостную весть, провозглашающий мир! Отмечай свои праздники, Иудея, исполняй свои обещания. Не вторгнется больше беззаконный в твои владения, потому что будет полностью уничтожен.
