1 For as touching4012 the ministering1248 to the saints,40 it is superfluous4053 for me to write1125 to you:

2 Denn1063 ich weiß1492 euren5216 guten Willen4288, davon1537 ich rühme2744 bei5228 denen aus575 Mazedonien3110 (und3754 sage): Achaja882 ist3903 vor dem3739 Jahr4070 bereit gewesen. Und2532 euer5216 Exempel hat2042 viele4119 gereizet.

2 For I know1492 the forwardness4288 of your5216 mind,4288 for which3739 I boast2744 of you to them of Macedonia,3110 that Achaia882 was ready3903 a year4070 ago;575 and your5216 zeal2205 has provoked2042 very4119 many.4119

3 Ich habe aber1161 diese Brüder80 darum gesandt3992, daß3363 nicht unser2257 Ruhm von5228 euch5216 zunichte2758 würde in1722 dem5129 Stücke3313, und daß2443 ihr bereit3903 seid5600, gleichwie2531 ich von euch gesagt3004 habe,

3 Yet1161 have I sent3992 the brothers,80 lest3588 3361 our boasting2745 of you should be in vain2761 in this5129 behalf;3313 that, as I said,3004 you may be ready:3903

4 auf daß3381 nicht3363, so1437 die5026 aus Mazedonien3110 mit4862 mir1698 kämen2064 und2532 euch5209 unbereitet fänden2147, wir2249 2443 3363 (will nicht sagen3004 ihr5210) zuschanden würden mit1722 solchem Rühmen5287.

4 Lest3381 haply3381 if1437 they of Macedonia3110 come2064 with me, and find2147 you unprepared,532 we (that we say3004 not, you) should be ashamed2617 in this3588 same5026 confident5287 boasting.2746

5 Ich habe2233 es aber3767 für nötig316 angesehen, die5026 Brüder80 zu1519 ermahnen, daß2443 sie3870 voranzögen4281 zu euch5209, zu verfertigen diesen5216 zuvor4293 verheißenen Segen2129, daß5613 er bereitet sei1511, also daß3361 es sei ein Segen2129 und2532 nicht2532 ein Geiz4124.

5 Therefore3767 I thought2233 it necessary316 to exhort3870 the brothers,80 that they would go4281 before4281 to you, and make4294 up beforehand4293 your bounty,2129 whereof you had notice4293 before, that the same5026 might be ready,2092 as a matter of bounty,2129 and not as of covetousness.4124

6 Ich meine aber1161 das5124: Wer da kärglich5340 säet, der wird4687 auch2532 kärglich5340 ernten2325; und2532 wer da säet im Segen2129, der wird4687 auch2532 ernten2325 im Segen2129.

6 But this5124 I say, He which sows4687 sparingly5340 shall reap2325 also2532 sparingly;5340 and he which sows4687 bountifully2129 shall reap2325 also2532 bountifully.2129

7 Ein jeglicher1538 nach seiner2531 Willkür4255, nicht3361 mit Unwillen oder2228 aus Zwang318; denn1063 einen fröhlichen2431 Geber1395 hat25 GOtt2316 lieb.

7 Every1538 man according2531 as he purposes4255 in his heart,2588 so let him give; not grudgingly,1537 3077 or2228 of necessity:318 for God2316 loves25 a cheerful2431 giver.1395

8 GOtt2316 aber1161 kann1415 machen, daß2443 allerlei3956 Gnade5485 unter1722 euch5209 reichlich sei, daß1519 ihr3842 in1519 allen3956 Dingen3956 volle Genüge841 habet4052 und reich4052 seid zu4052 allerlei3956 guten18 Werken2041,

8 And God2316 is able1415 to make4052 all3956 grace5485 abound4052 toward1519 you; that you, always3842 having2192 all3956 sufficiency841 in all3956 things, may abound4052 to every3956 good18 work:2041

9 wie2531 geschrieben1125 stehet: Er hat ausgestreuet und gegeben1325 den Armen3993; seine846 Gerechtigkeit1343 bleibet3306 in1519 Ewigkeit165.

9 (As it is written,1125 He has dispersed4650 abroad;4650 he has given1325 to the poor:3993 his righteousness1343 remains3306 for ever.165

10 Der aber1161 Samen4690 reichet2023 beim Säemann, der wird4687 je auch2532 das5524 Brot740 reichen zur1519 Speise1035 und2532 wird vermehren4129 euren5216 Samen4703 und2532 wachsen837 lassen das Gewächs1081 eurer5216 Gerechtigkeit1343,

10 Now1161 he that ministers2023 seed4690 to the sower4687 both2532 minister5524 bread740 for your food,1035 and multiply4129 your5216 seed4703 sown, and increase837 the fruits1081 of your5216 righteousness;1343)

11 daß1519 ihr reich seid4148 in1722 allen3956 Dingen mit aller3956 Einfältigkeit, welche3748 wirket durch1223 uns2257 Danksagung2169 GOtt2316.

11 Being enriched4148 in every3956 thing to all3956 bountifulness,572 which3748 causes2716 through1223 us thanksgiving2169 to God.2316

12 Denn1223 die Handreichung dieser Steuer3009 erfüllet nicht3756 allein3440 den Mangel5303 der Heiligen40, sondern235 ist2076 auch2532 überschwenglich4052 darinnen, daß3754 viele4183 GOtt2316 danken2169 für diesen5026 unsern treuen Dienst1248

12 For the administration1248 of this5026 service3009 not only3440 supplies4322 the want5303 of the saints,40 but is abundant4052 also2532 by many4183 thanksgivings2169 to God;2316

13 und2532 preisen1392 GOtt2316 über1223 eurem untertänigen Bekenntnis3671 des1382 Evangeliums2098 Christi5547 und1519 über eurer5216 einfältigen Steuer1248 an1909 sie846 und2532 an1519 alle3956

13 Whiles by the experiment1382 of this5026 ministration1248 they glorify1392 God2316 for your5216 professed3671 subjection5292 to the gospel2098 of Christ,5547 and for your3588 liberal572 distribution2842 to them, and to all3956 men;

14 und2532 über1909 ihrem Gebet1162 für5228 euch5216, welche verlanget nach1971 euch5209, um1223 der846 überschwenglichen5235 Gnade5485 Gottes2316 willen in euch5213.

14 And by their prayer1162 for you, which long1971 after1971 you for the exceeding5235 grace5485 of God2316 in you.
