馬太福音

第10章

1 耶穌叫了十二個門徒來，就［when］給他們權柄，能趕逐污靈［spirits］，並醫治各樣的病症。

2 這十二使徒的名：第一個叫西門、又稱彼得，還有他兄弟安得烈；西庇太的兒子雅各和雅各的兄弟約翰；

3 腓力和巴多羅買；多馬和稅吏馬太；亞勒腓的兒子雅各和那稱呼達太的勒拜［Labbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus］；

4 迦南人［Canaanite］西門，還有加略人猶大，也就是賣耶穌的［who also betrayed him］。

5 耶穌差這十二個人去，吩咐他們說：「外邦人的路，你們不要走，撒瑪利亞人的城，你們不要進；

6 寧可往以色列家失喪的［lost］羊那裏去。

7 你們隨走，當隨傳［And as ye go, preach］說：『天國近了。』

8 醫治病人，叫長大痲瘋的潔淨［cleanse the lepers］，叫死人復活［raise the dead］，把鬼魔［devils］趕出去；你們白白的得來，也要白白的捨去。

9 錢囊裏不要帶金銀銅錢，

10 行路不要帶口袋；不要帶兩件褂子，不要多帶鞋［shoes］，也不要多帶柺杖［staves］；因為工人得飲食是應當的。

11 你們無論進哪一城，哪一村，要打聽裏面［in it］誰是配得的［worthy］；就住在那裏［there］，直住到你們［ye］走的時候。

12 你們［ye］進一［an］家裏去，要請那家［it］的安。

13 那家若配得平安，你們所求的平安就必臨到那家；若不配得，你們所求的平安仍歸你們。

14 凡不接待你們、不聽你們話的人，你們離開那家，或是那城的時候，就把你們［your］腳上的塵土抖下［shake off］去。

15 我實在告訴你們：『當審判的日子，所多瑪和蛾摩拉所受的，比那城還容易受呢。』

16 「看哪［Behold］，我差你們去，如同羊進入狼群；所以你們要靈巧像蛇，馴良像鴿子。

17 但［But］要防備人─因為他們要把你們交給公會，也要在他們［their］會堂裏鞭打你們；

18 並且你們要為我的緣故被送到諸侯君王面前，見證他們和外邦人的不是［for a testimony against them and the Gentiles］。

19 然而［But］，你們被交的時候，不要思慮怎樣說話，或說甚麼話；因為［for］正當［same］那時候，必賜給你們當說的話。

20 因為不是你們自己說的，乃是你們父的靈［Spirit］在你們裏頭說的。

21 兄弟［brother］要把兄弟［brother］，父親要把兒女［children］，送到死地；兒女要起來［rise up］與父母為敵，害死他們。

22 並且你們要為我的名被眾人恨惡；唯有忍耐到底的必然得救。

23 有人在這城裏逼迫你們，就逃到別［another］城裏去；我實在告訴你們：『以色列的城邑，你們還沒有走遍，人子就到了。』

24 學生並不［is not］高過先生，僕人也［nor］不［not］高過他的［his］主人。

25 學生像他［as his］先生一樣，僕人像他［as his］主人一樣，也就夠了［enough］。人既罵家主是別西卜，何況他的家人，人要怎樣罵他們［shall they call］呢？

26 「所以，不要怕他們。因為掩蓋的事沒有不露出來的；隱藏的事沒有不被人知道的。

27 我在暗中告訴你們的，你們要在明處說出來；你們耳中所聽的，要在房上傳揚［preach］出來。

28 那殺身體，不能殺元魂［soul］的，不要怕他們；唯有能把身體和元魂［soul］都滅在地獄裏的，正要怕他。

29 兩個麻雀不是賣一分銀子嗎？若是你們的父不許，一個也不能掉在地上。

30 就是你們的頭髮也都被數過了。

31 所以，你們［ye］不要懼怕，你們比許多麻雀還貴重。

32 「凡在人面前認我的，我在我天上的父面前也必認他。

33 然而［But］，凡在人面前不認我的，我在我天上的父面前也必不認他。

34 「不要想［Think not］我來是叫地上太平；我來並不是叫地上太平，乃是叫地上動刀兵。

35 因為我來是叫人與他［his］父親不合［at variance against］，女兒與她［her］母親不合［at variance against］，媳婦與她［her］婆婆不合［at variance against］。

36 人的仇敵就是他［his］自己家裏的人。

37 「愛父母過於愛我的，不配作我的門徒；愛兒女過於愛我的，不配作我的門徒。

38 不背著他的十字架跟從我的，也不配作我的門徒。

39 得著生命的，將要失喪生命；為我失喪生命的，將要得著生命。

40 「人接待你們就是接待我，接待我就是接待那差我來的。

41 人因為先知的名接待先知，必得先知所得的賞賜；人因為義人的名接待義人，必得義人所得的賞賜。

42 無論何人，因為門徒的名，只把一杯涼水給這小子裏的一個喝，我實在告訴你們，這人總不失去［in no wise lose］賞賜。」

Chapter 10

1 AND he called his twelve disciples, and gave them power over the unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and sickness.

2 The names of the twelve apostles are these: The first of them Simon who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;

3 Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas and Matthew the publican, James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus surnamed Thaddaeus;

4 Simon the Zealot, and Judas of Iscariot, who betrayed him.

5 These twelve Jesus sent out, and charged them and said, Keep away from pagan practices, and do not enter a Samaritan city;

6 But above all, go to the sheep which are lost from the house of Israel.

7 And as you go, preach and say, that the kingdom of heaven is near.

8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons; freely you have received, freely give.

9 Do not accumulate gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses;

10 Nor a bag for the journey, nor two shirts and shoes, nor a staff; for a laborer is at least worthy of his food.

11 Whatever city or town you enter, ask who is trustworthy in it, and remain there until you leave.

12 And when you enter into the house, salute the family.

13 And if the family is trustworthy, your salutation of peace shall come upon it; but if it is not trustworthy, your salutation shall return to you.

14 Whoever will not welcome you, and will not listen to your words, when you leave the house or the village, shake off the sand from your feet.

15 Truly I say to you, that it will be easier for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that city.

16 Behold, I am sending you like lambs among the wolves; therefore be wise as serpents, and pure as doves.

17 But be careful of men; for they will deliver you up to the courts, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;

18 And they will bring you before the presence of governors and kings for my sake, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.

19 But when they deliver you up, do not worry as to how or what you will speak; for it will be given to you in that very hour what you are to speak.

20 For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father, which speaks through you.

21 Brother will deliver up his own brother to death, and father his son; and children will rise up against their parents and put them to death.

22 And you will be hated by everybody because of my name; but he who endures until the end shall live.

23 When they persecute you in this city, escape to another; for truly I say to you, that you shall not finish converting all the cities of the house of Israel, until the Son of man returns.

24 No disciple is more important than his teacher, and no servant than his master.

25 It is enough for a disciple to be like his teacher, and for a servant to be like his master. If then, they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more those of his household.

26 Therefore do not be afraid of them; for there is nothing covered that will not be uncovered, and hidden that will not be known.

27 What I tell you in the dark, tell it in the daylight; and what you hear with your ears, preach on the house tops.

28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body, but who cannot kill the soul; but above all, be afraid of him who can destroy both the soul and the body in hell.

29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And yet not one of them will fall on the ground without your Father's will.

30 But so far as you are concerned, even the hairs of your head are all numbered.

31 Therefore fear not; you are much more important than many sparrows.

32 Everyone therefore who will acknowledge me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven.

33 But whoever will deny me before men, I will also deny him before my Father in heaven.

34 Do not expect that I have come to bring peace on earth; I have not come to bring peace but a sword.

35 For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.

36 And a man's enemies will be the members of his own household.

37 Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

38 And whoever does not take up his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.

39 He who is concerned about his life shall lose it; and he who loses his life for my sake shall find it.

40 Whoever receives you, receives me; and whoever receives me, receives him who sent me.

41 He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet, shall receive a prophet's reward; and whoever receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man, shall receive a righteous man's reward.

42 Anyone who gives a drink to one of these little ones, if only a cup of cold water, in the name of a disciple, truly I say to you, he shall never lose his reward.

1 耶穌叫了十二個門徒來，就［when］給他們權柄，能趕逐污靈［spirits］，並醫治各樣的病症。	1 AND he called his twelve disciples, and gave them power over the unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every kind of disease and sickness.
2 這十二使徒的名：第一個叫西門、又稱彼得，還有他兄弟安得烈；西庇太的兒子雅各和雅各的兄弟約翰；	2 The names of the twelve apostles are these: The first of them Simon who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
3 腓力和巴多羅買；多馬和稅吏馬太；亞勒腓的兒子雅各和那稱呼達太的勒拜［Labbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus］；	3 Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas and Matthew the publican, James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus surnamed Thaddaeus;

5 耶穌差這十二個人去，吩咐他們說：「外邦人的路，你們不要走，撒瑪利亞人的城，你們不要進；	5 These twelve Jesus sent out, and charged them and said, Keep away from pagan practices, and do not enter a Samaritan city;
6 寧可往以色列家失喪的［lost］羊那裏去。	6 But above all, go to the sheep which are lost from the house of Israel.
7 你們隨走，當隨傳［And as ye go, preach］說：『天國近了。』	7 And as you go, preach and say, that the kingdom of heaven is near.
8 醫治病人，叫長大痲瘋的潔淨［cleanse the lepers］，叫死人復活［raise the dead］，把鬼魔［devils］趕出去；你們白白的得來，也要白白的捨去。	8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons; freely you have received, freely give.
9 錢囊裏不要帶金銀銅錢，	9 Do not accumulate gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses;
10 行路不要帶口袋；不要帶兩件褂子，不要多帶鞋［shoes］，也不要多帶柺杖［staves］；因為工人得飲食是應當的。	10 Nor a bag for the journey, nor two shirts and shoes, nor a staff; for a laborer is at least worthy of his food.
11 你們無論進哪一城，哪一村，要打聽裏面［in it］誰是配得的［worthy］；就住在那裏［there］，直住到你們［ye］走的時候。	11 Whatever city or town you enter, ask who is trustworthy in it, and remain there until you leave.
12 你們［ye］進一［an］家裏去，要請那家［it］的安。	12 And when you enter into the house, salute the family.
13 那家若配得平安，你們所求的平安就必臨到那家；若不配得，你們所求的平安仍歸你們。	13 And if the family is trustworthy, your salutation of peace shall come upon it; but if it is not trustworthy, your salutation shall return to you.
14 凡不接待你們、不聽你們話的人，你們離開那家，或是那城的時候，就把你們［your］腳上的塵土抖下［shake off］去。	14 Whoever will not welcome you, and will not listen to your words, when you leave the house or the village, shake off the sand from your feet.

21 兄弟［brother］要把兄弟［brother］，父親要把兒女［children］，送到死地；兒女要起來［rise up］與父母為敵，害死他們。	21 Brother will deliver up his own brother to death, and father his son; and children will rise up against their parents and put them to death.
22 並且你們要為我的名被眾人恨惡；唯有忍耐到底的必然得救。	22 And you will be hated by everybody because of my name; but he who endures until the end shall live.
23 有人在這城裏逼迫你們，就逃到別［another］城裏去；我實在告訴你們：『以色列的城邑，你們還沒有走遍，人子就到了。』	23 When they persecute you in this city, escape to another; for truly I say to you, that you shall not finish converting all the cities of the house of Israel, until the Son of man returns.

34 「不要想［Think not］我來是叫地上太平；我來並不是叫地上太平，乃是叫地上動刀兵。	34 Do not expect that I have come to bring peace on earth; I have not come to bring peace but a sword.
35 因為我來是叫人與他［his］父親不合［at variance against］，女兒與她［her］母親不合［at variance against］，媳婦與她［her］婆婆不合［at variance against］。	35 For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.
