西番雅書

第1章

1 當猶大王亞們的兒子約西亞在位的時候，耶和華的話臨到希西家的玄孫，亞瑪利雅的曾孫，基大利的孫子，古實的兒子西番雅。

2 耶和華說：我必將萬類從地上滅盡［utterly consume all things from off the land］。

3 我必除滅人和牲畜，與空中的鳥、海裏的魚，以及絆腳石和惡人；我必將人從地上剪除。這是耶和華說的。

4 我必伸手加在［upon］猶大和耶路撒冷的一切居民身上［inhabitants］，也必從這地方剪除所剩下的巴力，並基瑪林的名和祭司，

5 與那些在房頂上敬拜天象［host of heaven］的，並那些敬拜耶和華指著他起誓，又指著瑪勒堪起誓的，

6 與那些轉去不跟從耶和華的，和不尋求耶和華也不求問［enquired］他的。

7 你要在主耶和華面前靜默無聲，因為耶和華的日子快到。耶和華已經預備祭物，邀請了他的客［hath bid his guests］。

8 到了我─耶和華獻祭的日子，必懲罰首領和王的兒女［king's children］，並一切穿外邦衣服的。

9 正當那日［In the same day］，我也［also］必懲罰一切跳過門檻、將強暴和詭詐得來之物充滿他們［their］主人房屋的。

10 耶和華說：當那日，從魚門必發出悲哀的聲音，從二城發出哀號的聲音，從山間發出大破裂的響聲。

11 瑪革提施的居民哪，你們要哀號，因為所有［all］商民都除滅［cut down］了。凡搬運銀子的都被剪除。

12 那時，我必用燭［candle］巡查耶路撒冷；我必懲罰那些如酒在渣滓上澄清的；他們心裏說：耶和華必不降福，也不降禍。

13 他們的財寶必成為掠物；他們的房屋必變為荒場。他們必建造房屋，卻不得住在其內；栽種葡萄園，卻不得喝所出的酒。

14 耶和華的大日臨近，臨近而且甚快，乃是耶和華日子的聲音［voice］；勇士必痛痛地哭號。

15 那日是忿怒的日子，是急難困苦的日子，是荒廢淒涼的日子，是黑暗幽冥、密雲烏黑的日子，

16 是吹號［trumpet］吶喊的日子，要攻擊堅固城和高大的城樓。

17 我必使災禍臨到人身上，使他們行走如同瞎眼的，因為得罪了耶和華［LORD］。他們的血必倒出如灰塵；他們的肉必拋棄如糞土。

18 當耶和華發怒的日子，他們的金銀不能救他們；他的忿怒如火必吞滅［devoured］全地，毀滅這地的一切居民，而且速速［speedy］除滅。

2 I will utterly consume622 5486 all3605 things from off4480 5921 6440 the land,127 saith5002 the LORD.3068

3 I will consume5486 man120 and beast;929 I will consume5486 the fowls5775 of the heaven,8064 and the fishes1709 of the sea,3220 and the stumblingblocks4384 with854 the wicked;7563 and I will cut off3772 853 man120 from off4480 5921 6440 the land,127 saith5002 the LORD.3068

4 I will also stretch out5186 mine hand3027 upon5921 Judah,3063 and upon5921 all3605 the inhabitants3427 of Jerusalem;3389 and I will cut off3772 853 the remnant7605 of Baal1168 from4480 this2088 place,4725 and853 the name8034 of the Chemarims3649 with5973 the priests;3548

5 And them that worship7812 the host6635 of heaven8064 upon5921 the housetops;1406 and them that worship7812 and that swear7650 by the LORD,3068 and that swear7650 by Malcham;4445

6 And them that are turned back5472 from4480 310 the LORD;3068 and those that834 have not3808 sought1245 853 the LORD,3068 nor3808 inquired1875 for him.

7 Hold thy peace2013 at the presence4480 6440 of the Lord136 GOD:3069 for3588 the day3117 of the LORD3068 is at hand:7138 for3588 the LORD3068 hath prepared3559 a sacrifice,2077 he hath bid6942 his guests.7121

8 And it shall come to pass1961 in the day3117 of the LORD's3068 sacrifice,2077 that I will punish6485 5921 the princes,8269 and the king's4428 children,1121 and all3605 such as are clothed3847 with strange5237 apparel.4403

9 In the same1931 day3117 also will I punish6485 5921 all3605 those that leap1801 on5921 the threshold,4670 which fill4390 their masters'113 houses1004 with violence2555 and deceit.4820

10 And it shall come to pass1961 in that1931 day,3117 saith5002 the LORD,3068 that there shall be the noise6963 of a cry6818 from the fish1709 gate,4480 8179 and a howling3215 from4480 the second,4932 and a great1419 crashing7667 from the hills.4480 1389

11 Howl,3213 ye inhabitants3427 of Maktesh,4389 for3588 all3605 the merchant3667 people5971 are cut down;1820 all3605 they that bear5187 silver3701 are cut off.3772

12 And it shall come to pass1961 at that1931 time,6256 that I will search2664 853 Jerusalem3389 with candles,5216 and punish6485 5921 the men376 that are settled7087 on5921 their lees:8105 that say559 in their heart,3824 The LORD3068 will not3808 do good,3190 neither3808 will he do evil.7489

13 Therefore their goods2428 shall become1961 a booty,4933 and their houses1004 a desolation:8077 they shall also build1129 houses,1004 but not3808 inhabit3427 them; and they shall plant5193 vineyards,3754 but not3808 drink8354 853 the wine3196 thereof.

14 The great1419 day3117 of the LORD3068 is near,7138 it is near,7138 and hasteth4118 greatly,3966 even the voice6963 of the day3117 of the LORD:3068 the mighty man1368 shall cry6873 there8033 bitterly.4751

15 That1931 day3117 is a day3117 of wrath,5678 a day3117 of trouble6869 and distress,4691 a day3117 of wasteness7722 and desolation,4875 a day3117 of darkness2822 and gloominess,653 a day3117 of clouds6051 and thick darkness,6205

16 A day3117 of the trumpet7782 and alarm8643 against5921 the fenced1219 cities,5892 and against5921 the high1364 towers.6438

17 And I will bring distress6887 upon men,120 that they shall walk1980 like blind men,5787 because3588 they have sinned2398 against the LORD:3068 and their blood1818 shall be poured out8210 as dust,6083 and their flesh3894 as the dung.1561

18 Neither3808 1571 their silver3701 nor1571 their gold2091 shall be able3201 to deliver5337 them in the day3117 of the LORD's3068 wrath;5678 but the whole3605 land776 shall be devoured398 by the fire784 of his jealousy:7068 for3588 he shall make6213 even389 a speedy926 riddance3617 of854 all3605 them that dwell3427 in the land.776

8 到了我─耶和華獻祭的日子，必懲罰首領和王的兒女［king's children］，並一切穿外邦衣服的。

8 And it shall come to pass1961 in the day3117 of the LORD's3068 sacrifice,2077 that I will punish6485 5921 the princes,8269 and the king's4428 children,1121 and all3605 such as are clothed3847 with strange5237 apparel.4403

9 正當那日［In the same day］，我也［also］必懲罰一切跳過門檻、將強暴和詭詐得來之物充滿他們［their］主人房屋的。

9 In the same1931 day3117 also will I punish6485 5921 all3605 those that leap1801 on5921 the threshold,4670 which fill4390 their masters'113 houses1004 with violence2555 and deceit.4820

10 耶和華說：當那日，從魚門必發出悲哀的聲音，從二城發出哀號的聲音，從山間發出大破裂的響聲。

11 瑪革提施的居民哪，你們要哀號，因為所有［all］商民都除滅［cut down］了。凡搬運銀子的都被剪除。

12 那時，我必用燭［candle］巡查耶路撒冷；我必懲罰那些如酒在渣滓上澄清的；他們心裏說：耶和華必不降福，也不降禍。

12 And it shall come to pass1961 at that1931 time,6256 that I will search2664 853 Jerusalem3389 with candles,5216 and punish6485 5921 the men376 that are settled7087 on5921 their lees:8105 that say559 in their heart,3824 The LORD3068 will not3808 do good,3190 neither3808 will he do evil.7489

13 他們的財寶必成為掠物；他們的房屋必變為荒場。他們必建造房屋，卻不得住在其內；栽種葡萄園，卻不得喝所出的酒。

14 耶和華的大日臨近，臨近而且甚快，乃是耶和華日子的聲音［voice］；勇士必痛痛地哭號。

15 那日是忿怒的日子，是急難困苦的日子，是荒廢淒涼的日子，是黑暗幽冥、密雲烏黑的日子，

15 That1931 day3117 is a day3117 of wrath,5678 a day3117 of trouble6869 and distress,4691 a day3117 of wasteness7722 and desolation,4875 a day3117 of darkness2822 and gloominess,653 a day3117 of clouds6051 and thick darkness,6205

16 是吹號［trumpet］吶喊的日子，要攻擊堅固城和高大的城樓。

16 A day3117 of the trumpet7782 and alarm8643 against5921 the fenced1219 cities,5892 and against5921 the high1364 towers.6438

17 我必使災禍臨到人身上，使他們行走如同瞎眼的，因為得罪了耶和華［LORD］。他們的血必倒出如灰塵；他們的肉必拋棄如糞土。

17 And I will bring distress6887 upon men,120 that they shall walk1980 like blind men,5787 because3588 they have sinned2398 against the LORD:3068 and their blood1818 shall be poured out8210 as dust,6083 and their flesh3894 as the dung.1561

18 當耶和華發怒的日子，他們的金銀不能救他們；他的忿怒如火必吞滅［devoured］全地，毀滅這地的一切居民，而且速速［speedy］除滅。

18 Neither3808 1571 their silver3701 nor1571 their gold2091 shall be able3201 to deliver5337 them in the day3117 of the LORD's3068 wrath;5678 but the whole3605 land776 shall be devoured398 by the fire784 of his jealousy:7068 for3588 he shall make6213 even389 a speedy926 riddance3617 of854 all3605 them that dwell3427 in the land.776
