第12章

1 耶戶第七年，約阿施登基，在耶路撒冷作王四十年。他母親名叫西比亞，是別．是巴人。

2 約阿施在祭司耶何耶大教訓他的時候，就行耶和華眼中看為正的事；

3 只是眾高邱［high places］還沒有廢去；百姓仍在那裏獻祭燒香。

4 約阿施對眾祭司說：「凡奉到耶和華殿分別為聖之物所值通用的錢［money］，或各人當納的身價，或樂意奉到耶和華殿的錢［money］，

5 你們當從所認識的人收了來，修理殿的一切破壞之處。」

6 無奈到了約阿施王二十三年，祭司仍未修理殿的破壞之處。

7 所以約阿施王召了大祭司耶何耶大和眾祭司來，對他們說：「你們怎麼不修理殿的破壞之處呢？從今以後，你們不要從所認識的人再收錢［money］，要將所收的交出來，修理殿的破壞之處。」

8 眾祭司答應不再收百姓的錢［money］，也不修理殿的破壞之處。

9 祭司耶何耶大取了一個箱子［chest］，在櫃蓋上鑽了一個洞孔［hole］，放於壇旁，在進耶和華殿的右邊；守門的祭司將奉到耶和華殿的錢都［all the money］投在箱［chest］裏。

10 他們見箱［chest］裏的錢［money］多了，便叫王的書記和大祭司上來，將耶和華殿裏的錢［money］數算，放在袋中［put up in bags］。

11 把所平的錢［money］交給督工的，就是耶和華殿裏辦事的人；他們把錢［money］轉交修理耶和華殿的木匠和工人，

12 並瓦匠、石匠，又買木料和鑿成的石頭，修理耶和華殿的破壞之處，以及修理殿的各樣使用。

13 但那奉到耶和華殿的錢［money］，沒有用以作耶和華殿裏的銀碗［bowls］、蠟剪、碗、號，和別樣的金銀器皿，

14 乃將那銀子交給工人［workmen］修理耶和華的殿；

15 且將錢［money］交給辦事的人轉交作工的人，不與他們算帳，因為他們辦事忠誠［faithfully］。

16 唯有贖愆祭、贖罪祭的錢［money］沒有奉到耶和華的殿，都歸祭司。

17 那時，敘利亞王哈薛上來攻打迦特，攻取了，就定意上來攻打耶路撒冷。

18 猶大王約阿施將他列祖猶大王約沙法、約蘭、亞哈謝所分別為聖的物和自己所分別為聖的物，並耶和華殿與王宮府庫裏所有的金子都送給敘利亞王哈薛；哈薛就不上耶路撒冷來了。

19 約阿施其餘的事，凡他所行的，不［not］都寫在猶大列王記上嗎？

20 約阿施的臣僕起來背叛，在下悉拉的米羅宮那裏將他殺了。

21 殺他的那臣僕就是示米押的兒子約撒甲和朔默的兒子約薩拔。眾人將他葬在大衛城他列祖的墳地裏。他兒子亞瑪謝接續他作王。

2 Kings

Chapter 12

1 In the seventh7651 year8141 of Jehu3058 Jehoash3060 began to reign;4427 and forty705 years8141 reigned4427 he in Jerusalem.3389 And his mother's517 name8034 was Zibiah6645 of Beersheba.884

2 And Jehoash3060 did6213 that which was right3477 in the sight5869 of the LORD3068 all3605 his days3117 wherein834 Jehoiada3111 the priest3548 instructed3384 him.

3 But the high1116 places were not taken5493 away:5493 the people5971 still5750 sacrificed2076 and burnt6999 incense6999 in the high1116 places.

4 And Jehoash3060 said559 to the priests,3548 All3605 the money3701 of the dedicated6944 things that is brought935 into the house1004 of the LORD,3068 even the money3701 of every3605 one that passes5674 the account, the money3701 that every man5315 is set6187 at, and all3605 the money3701 that comes5927 into5921 any man's376 heart3820 to bring935 into the house1004 of the LORD,3068

5 Let the priests3548 take3947 it to them, every man376 of his acquaintance:4378 and let them repair2388 the breaches919 of the house,1004 wherever834 8033 any376 breach919 shall be found.4672

6 But it was so, that in the three7969 and twentieth6242 year8141 of king4428 Jehoash3060 the priests3548 had not repaired2388 the breaches919 of the house.1004

7 Then king4428 Jehoash3060 called7121 for Jehoiada3111 the priest,3548 and the other priests,3548 and said559 to them, Why4069 repair2388 you not the breaches919 of the house?1004 now6258 therefore receive3947 no408 more money3701 of your acquaintance,4378 but deliver5414 it for the breaches919 of the house.1004

8 And the priests3548 consented225 to receive3947 no1115 more money3701 of the people,5971 neither1115 to repair2388 the breaches919 of the house.1004

9 But Jehoiada3111 the priest3548 took3947 a chest,727 and bored5344 a hole2356 in the lid1817 of it, and set5414 it beside681 the altar,4196 on the right3225 side3225 as one376 comes935 into the house1004 of the LORD:3068 and the priests3548 that kept8104 the door5592 put5414 therein8033 all3605 the money3701 that was brought935 into the house1004 of the LORD.3068

10 And it was so, when they saw7200 that there was much7225 money3701 in the chest,727 that the king's4428 scribe5608 and the high1419 priest3548 came5927 up, and they put6696 up in bags,6696 and told4487 the money3701 that was found4672 in the house1004 of the LORD.3068

11 And they gave5414 the money,3701 being told,8505 into5921 the hands3027 of them that did6213 the work,4399 that had the oversight6485 of the house1004 of the LORD:3068 and they laid3318 it out to the carpenters6086 and builders,1129 that worked6213 on the house1004 of the LORD,3068

12 And to masons,1443 and hewers2672 of stone,68 and to buy7069 timber6086 and hewed4274 stone68 to repair2388 the breaches919 of the house1004 of the LORD,3068 and for all3605 that was laid3318 out for the house1004 to repair2393 it.

13 However, there were not made6213 for the house1004 of the LORD3068 bowls5592 of silver,3701 snuffers,4212 basins,4219 trumpets,2689 any vessels3627 of gold,2091 or vessels3627 of silver,3701 of the money3701 that was brought935 into the house1004 of the LORD:3068

14 But they gave5414 that to the workmen,6213 4399 and repaired2388 therewith the house1004 of the LORD.3068

15 Moreover they reckoned2803 not with the men,582 into5921 whose834 hand3027 they delivered5414 the money3701 to be bestowed5414 on workmen:6213 4399 for they dealt6213 faithfully.530

16 The trespass817 money3701 and sin money3701 was not brought935 into the house1004 of the LORD:3068 it was the priests'.3548

17 Then227 Hazael2371 king4428 of Syria758 went5927 up, and fought3898 against5921 Gath,1661 and took3920 it: and Hazael2371 set7760 his face6440 to go5927 up to Jerusalem.3389

18 And Jehoash3060 king4428 of Judah3063 took3947 all3605 the hallowed6944 things that Jehoshaphat,3092 and Jehoram,3088 and Ahaziah,274 his fathers,1 kings4428 of Judah,3063 had dedicated,6942 and his own hallowed6944 things, and all3605 the gold2091 that was found4672 in the treasures214 of the house1004 of the LORD,3068 and in the king's4428 house,1004 and sent7971 it to Hazael2371 king4428 of Syria:758 and he went5927 away from Jerusalem.3389

19 And the rest3499 of the acts1697 of Joash,3101 and all3605 that he did,6213 are they not written3789 in the book5612 of the chronicles1697 3117 of the kings4428 of Judah?3063

20 And his servants5650 arose,6965 and made a conspiracy,7195 and slew5221 Joash3101 in the house1004 of Millo,4407 which goes3381 down3381 to Silla.5538

21 For Jozachar3108 the son1121 of Shimeath,8100 and Jehozabad3075 the son1121 of Shomer,7763 his servants,5650 smote5221 him, and he died;4191 and they buried6912 him with his fathers1 in the city5892 of David:1732 and Amaziah558 his son1121 reigned4427 in his stead.8478

5 Let the priests3548 take3947 it to them, every man376 of his acquaintance:4378 and let them repair2388 the breaches919 of the house,1004 wherever834 8033 any376 breach919 shall be found.4672

6 無奈到了約阿施王二十三年，祭司仍未修理殿的破壞之處。

6 But it was so, that in the three7969 and twentieth6242 year8141 of king4428 Jehoash3060 the priests3548 had not repaired2388 the breaches919 of the house.1004

7 所以約阿施王召了大祭司耶何耶大和眾祭司來，對他們說：「你們怎麼不修理殿的破壞之處呢？從今以後，你們不要從所認識的人再收錢［money］，要將所收的交出來，修理殿的破壞之處。」

7 Then king4428 Jehoash3060 called7121 for Jehoiada3111 the priest,3548 and the other priests,3548 and said559 to them, Why4069 repair2388 you not the breaches919 of the house?1004 now6258 therefore receive3947 no408 more money3701 of your acquaintance,4378 but deliver5414 it for the breaches919 of the house.1004

8 眾祭司答應不再收百姓的錢［money］，也不修理殿的破壞之處。

8 And the priests3548 consented225 to receive3947 no1115 more money3701 of the people,5971 neither1115 to repair2388 the breaches919 of the house.1004

11 把所平的錢［money］交給督工的，就是耶和華殿裏辦事的人；他們把錢［money］轉交修理耶和華殿的木匠和工人，

11 And they gave5414 the money,3701 being told,8505 into5921 the hands3027 of them that did6213 the work,4399 that had the oversight6485 of the house1004 of the LORD:3068 and they laid3318 it out to the carpenters6086 and builders,1129 that worked6213 on the house1004 of the LORD,3068

12 並瓦匠、石匠，又買木料和鑿成的石頭，修理耶和華殿的破壞之處，以及修理殿的各樣使用。

12 And to masons,1443 and hewers2672 of stone,68 and to buy7069 timber6086 and hewed4274 stone68 to repair2388 the breaches919 of the house1004 of the LORD,3068 and for all3605 that was laid3318 out for the house1004 to repair2393 it.

13 但那奉到耶和華殿的錢［money］，沒有用以作耶和華殿裏的銀碗［bowls］、蠟剪、碗、號，和別樣的金銀器皿，

13 However, there were not made6213 for the house1004 of the LORD3068 bowls5592 of silver,3701 snuffers,4212 basins,4219 trumpets,2689 any vessels3627 of gold,2091 or vessels3627 of silver,3701 of the money3701 that was brought935 into the house1004 of the LORD:3068

14 乃將那銀子交給工人［workmen］修理耶和華的殿；

14 But they gave5414 that to the workmen,6213 4399 and repaired2388 therewith the house1004 of the LORD.3068

15 且將錢［money］交給辦事的人轉交作工的人，不與他們算帳，因為他們辦事忠誠［faithfully］。
